  1. The discipline issues aren’t going to go away with a new coach. They started in the children’s homes. When these boys watch their own parents ranting and raving in the stands then why can’t they act the same way? When a football team and coaches have to have a police escort off their own field... that’s not a coaching issue!
  2. Time already has told. It’s not my job to forgive him or anyone else for that. It’s my job to protect my children and provide the best environment I can. Someone who lies for years, covers it up without taking responsibility, and then deceives his coaching staff as their confidant is not the example I want. If you believe anything out of his mouth after FACTS then you have fallen hard...HARD!!
  3. He would have liked to! but sorry, I’m not the only one wondering.
  4. No petty would have been firing him while Waldie was still AD. He was just smart and got the hell out. Im just wondering how this new AD is gonna do his job if he can’t even drive himself to work?
  5. Is that your way of avoiding the actual problem? Trying to throw shade on someone else?
  6. My info came from outside the board. Numerous people asking questions. No one in trouble here.
  7. SMH... Nelson has a 12 year suspended drivers license and “forgot” to mention that when he signed his contract. Who does the back ground checks around here???
  8. There’s more to it worth checking into. Y’all that always know stuff need to start diggin
  9. Anybody know why new AD had to have wife come pick him up after board meeting last night? Something fishy since DLISD employees started having drivers licenses checked today...
  10. Dude, are you on his payroll? You love some Nelson!!
  11. Yes Waldie knew and yes rightfully called him out as he was walking out the door. Duh! You missed my point. Try again.
  12. You know, I think you’re the first of the pro Nelsons that have admitted to any undermining. Why now?
  13. How could it have helped if it wasn’t out in the open yet? Pearland choice was made because it was a no brainer! I think that dagger is gonna hurt Nelson more than any of the coaches when he realizes he doesn’t know who to trust...are they really on his side or full of it just like he was!
  14. There was no ousting. Waldie made his Pearland choice before he knew about Nelson’s dagger. Duke, Skipper, and May can’t help him on the field!
  15. A championship would be great and I look forward to watching it!
  16. That’s hilarious because Nelson never was!!
  17. Programs do reflect their AD. Now we get go see what Nelson is made of. I hope he makes the best decisions for his team and staff. I just don’t foresee that from the Nelson I know!
  18. It sounds like you’re getting a little annoyed. Waldie or not, Nelson was on staff and a major role player. If the kids were undisciplined and he was who they respected than where was his leadership? I didn’t bring kids into this. They have been in this thread the whole time. Dont twist my words to your advantage. I want the program to succeed. I want the boys to succeed. THEY are Daingerfield.
  19. You really are making me laugh. Everything your saying about being an effective coach is true. Him coming in already knowing the things to work on and improve set him ahead of the game. But you’re still dancing around my one major point- those issues were intensified by Nelson when he led those boys to believe he was better than the HC. He put them in the position to have to choose where their loyalties went to. They were never all in for the HC. Making your point humorous to me...if those boys liked Nelson so much better as their coach then why didn’t he take that opportunity to discipline? Where was his attention to these issues the last two years? Obviously you are pro Nelson and will never admit to him working against Waldie for his own better interest. You and I agree each coach should have a chance for success. Nelson purposely worked against that chance for Waldie. And when all these same issues are still on that field this fall...I’m going to feel bad for the boys and fans that want it so bad. But I will not feel bad for Nelson because he dug his own hole!
  20. Thank you for pointing that out. Nelson says whatever is needed at the moment. When he felt Waldie could no longer serve his purposes of success, greed took over. So again...how can the man ever be trusted?
  21. Once again, everything you are saying is true. A program will never work if the kids don’t buy into it. My point that you keep avoiding is- Nelson ruined that trust between the boys and HC in the prior program. I use Waldie only because that’s who Nelson has claimed he can be better than. Isn’t that what his whole campaign was run on? That Waldie wasn’t doing it right? That he could do it better? He has made some big promises to those boys and the community and they trust him as their friend. When he has to turn around and be “top dog” now, he will contradict everything he told them. Everyone deserves the chance to make their name. He just made it harder for himself because he has to keep all his lies straight. My point is that Nelson got that chance with dirty antics and I think he’s gonna have to eat a lot of crow. His little army of COUP MEMBERS can’t protect him from that! I just think the boys who applauded will be quite disappointed when friend Nelson can’t be their friend anymore.
  22. Exactly. So why is he any better than Waldie trying to have discipline? That’s the whole point of this. Nelsons little army can’t gripe at one then turn around and praise another for the same effort.
  23. That’ll change when he has to actually enforce his own rules.
