Good to hear. I've been trying to watch anything I can online on them. I honestly have not been following them this year. I see that their main RB has over 1000 yards rushing and they are only averaging about 50 yards passing PG. If our D can contain the run game I think we will be fine.

Not too many Gilmer folks talking too much on these chats. I think everyone is trying to fly under the radar and not beat on their chest too much these days. After last year I think we are just letting the kids speak for themselves on the field. They are doing well right now and heading in the right direction 1 game at a time. Opponents will be getting harder each week and just have to stay focused. Is it game day yet? I'm itching to get the game started already.

I'll be doing the same thing as long as it's not a down pour...Just want to see a good game on Thursday since we dont play till Friday this week. It's great being able to watch multiple games a week now.

Yep 4th round will be the time if no upsets happen before then. Gilmer has to control the turnovers in games like that. You can't keep fumbling/throwing interceptions and expect to win. In order to beat a team like PG you have to play a clean smart game. Every game is a learning experience and they have taken enough from that game to move forward. Just have to execute. Hopefully we can meet up again. Until then good luck to both teams to keep our district on top.

Famersville is 2 and 8 with wins over Community and Roosevelt. This will be no contest, but a good tune up game. Young guns will get some playing time this game. Maybe we can have a running clock after half to lesson the blow.

LOL you know we Fam.....But I once was a Bear back in the day. They did give me a diploma for some odd reason. So I support them when they aren't playing Gilmer lol. Should be a good game to attend. Much better game than we will be probably playing first round. This game could go either way. Hughes Springs is on a roll this year. Gladewater had a pretty impressive win over a good Sabine team, but started off a little slower last week.

Yeah it will be a good practice game I'm afraid of, but who can't use the extra practice. Been watching some of the Farmersville game highlights and honestly not much of them. As long as we focus on what needs to be done Gilmer should have no problem with this game. Gilmer should win big.

Looks like our game will be on Thursday this week. So that means I will come support our neighbors again in round 1 of the playoffs Friday. Gotta love the post season. Should be a good game between the 2 teams.

I didn't want LE to beat Gilmer, but I hate to see any team go 0-10. They play a brutal schedule and maybe need to dial that back a little bit. It would help gain confidence back and that is something to build off of. Process that is going to have to be built from the ground up. Hope LE bounces back next year. They have always played us a tough game and I personally would much rather see that. Those guys were beat before we stepped on the field. You could see the mentality of the players as they warmed up and when they played. I think they just wanted to get it over with. I hate that especially for the Seniors.

I'm glad its Game Day for sure and ready to watch some football tonight. No need for comments on a down team. Just hope everyone comes out safe and ready to play next week. I'm sure LE will get somethings worked out and come back stronger next year, but we can't look past them for sure. We need to focus on this game first and play Buckeye Football. Heck yeah we are...Them Buckeyes gonna come out swinging this week against those Pirates. These Seniors will defend our Home for that last game on our turf. We will be too much for Pitt this year.

Yamboree has all these kids out all night Wednesday and Thursday...They are dragging a little, but it's been a pretty good game so far.

Ain't never left a game early no matter what. I'm there till the final school song. Them boys have my support till the end. In route now and should be there in about 30 mins. It's almost game time fellas.

We will sure have to play smart and our best to come out on top. If we play sloppy and full of penalties it will be a long ride home. I think we can pull it off, but it will have to be our best game yet. D Line will have to keep it together and the O will have to put together some drives and finish them. Been looking forward to this game.

Yeah I understand resting your starters when they are getting tired. But too many subs can play against you. When you have momentum with a group on the field keep them together. If they start getting burned then sub them out for a min. Some of the subs you just shake your head and wonder why. If you get burned then make an adjustment to see if you can get relief another way. I agree with play calling it is very predictable. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting something different. These teams know the routine and we need to mix it up a little more. We are having success with Bush and Shead and teams are having a hard time shutting them down. We need to take some of the pressure off of them with the passing plays to open the front up more.

Naw it would be to go to a better church of course or different job opportunity. I'm sure it's nothing anyways, but some disgruntled parents and frustrated kids. I honestly would hate for anything like this to happen. These kids are playing hard and just want a shot to fulfill their potential. This team could go deep in the playoffs if a few adjustments would be made. Special group of kids that need direction. Just ignore some of my post. Just an outsider looking in. Listening to too many people lol. Gilmer is full of tradition but I'm starting to see a shift around here. The community needs to come together a little more. If you dont believe me just take a look in our stands. The crowds have been getting smaller and smaller over the years. Which is a shame. I love this community and proud to be here.

I get it but we have always been a pass heavy team. And we are really struggling in that area this year. We have large receivers that can make big plays, but can't seem to ever get the ball. I'm afraid if we can't get things fixed some of these guys might not be here next year. There are things a brewing because of frustration. Tennison is looking better and better. He just needs to make better throws when he is giving that opportunity. If he can get that down I think the coaches would have a hard decision. He needs to shine and prove to people that he can. I love to see him mobile in the back, but he needs to be a threat down field as well.

Question for you guys. Is a spread offense really a spread offense when you are not putting the ball in the air? We have big receivers that hardly seen the ball. There was a mismatch in size all game that we should have taken advantage of. Spring Hill used it to their advantage with #1. To have a 3 possession game in the 4th to almost give it away. Spring Hill never gave up and made it a game. A little closer than I would like, but it is still a W. Congrats to the Bux. It was not a clean game and the mistakes need to be fixed. Penalties are still a killer. On to the next one.

Man I hope all this rain goes away soon. Need it to dry up the field a little before the game. Rain and spread offense is not so bueno. Just gonna have to tote that rock if they can't catch a slick ball lol. It rained at last years game too. It sucked sitting in it the whole time. But that would some up 90 percent of the games last year.
