Couple of us here. It’s so early in the year not a whole lot to say. We have one game under our belt and it wasn’t the prettiest, but it’s what you expect week 1. Defense looks legit, offense shows flashes but definitely not clicking how we want to. But those flashes are usually for 6!!

I think Horton will be solid at receiver. He showed really good flashes last year.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the game is more low scoring than you think. I do like our chances though

I’m honestly expecting a good game. Decent game 1, but have a lot of things to clean up. Oline will have to grow up quick, Defense was very solid. Our best DE left the game last night with a concussion, so hopefully he will be ok and good to go.

I know Quinlan lost a lot but they were a 3 round playoff team last year. I’m not saying we play a tough pre-district but you guys definitely do every year. Maybe it’ll help with playoff success this year

Yes it’s not the most insightful list, but it still is kind of a cool thing they are recognizing small schools. Carthage fits the criteria and it’s an absolute disgrace they aren’t on the list. Lol

I appreciate it, we had multiple chances! Still stings a little, but it was a fun ride. I was aware who Lorena played before district, I was just talking about who they have played on their playoff paths. It seems like to me that most people were on Brock as state champs after they beat Jim Ned like they did. As playoffs got rolling it seemed pretty evident that Brock, Lorena, MV were a cut above everyone else in the division. Brock had to play MV, Lorena hasn’t played anyone on that level yet (in the playoffs). Brock has rolled everyone besides MV, and Lorena has rolled everyone. It should be a great game, toss up in my opinion. I’m just picking Brock

It seems to me like everyone was picking Brock as the state champion favorite until last week. Brock had smoked everyone they played all of the postseason including the defending champs. Then they played a team on their same level and it came down to the wire. Lorena has smoked everyone in the postseason, but they haven’t seen a team on the same level yet. Everyone is picking Lorena because Brock won in a tight one, and Lorena beat a Lago Vista team that wouldn’t have made it out of the second round in a lot of regions? Give me Brock

Heartbreaking loss. Great season MV. Two evenly matched teams battled it out to the end. That was a tough one
