Also rumors of a black uniform alternate. Not at alll sure about that.
Cool, y’all will probably be the cleanest 1-9 or 2-8 team in the state

Who you play matters. Daddy Rusk would dominate in 3a lol. Not struggle to get out of Bi District like some teams.
More like the Cowards of Rusk County

Crazy that LE will play Carthage, but Henderson is too scared lol.
One of the reasons that they struggle to make the playoffs and often the worst team in Rusk County

I think is ashamed nobody in East Texas, 4A or 5A, will play Carthage. Henderson. Jacksonville, Pine Tree, Hallsville, Marshall, Whitehouse, Nacogdoches, Palestine, and several others used to play Carthage every year. Non-district game should be wide open, but those schools have changed. Kilgore is playing. Chapel Hill I have read, is supposedly. They originally said No. Jasper said yes. Why?
It’s sad and comical at the same time and I think it shows that those coaches have no confidence in their teams or their coaching abilities. They obviously never listened to Ric Flair

After these last 2 weeks, I hope that DCTF's predictions are wrong and the DAWGS stay in this region.

PG backfield did hit hard and that might of factored into drop passes/footsteps
I think it was more of the sun for #7. He doesn’t drop or miss balls

That game could’ve easily been a 21point win by Carthage. Drops killed them.
Drops by one of the guys is rare and you probably wont see him drop another one.

All we need is some missing teeth jokes and we’re all square!
Why do you think they started celebrating and eating all those Yams? They wanted to have a family reunion but needed some food that wasn't to hard on those gums.

Whoa, nice comeback. Did your Cousin or Dad help you come up with that one? Sorry, I forgot I was talking to a guy from Gilmer so your Dad is your Cousin.

Wow! I haven't seen a single post on this thread that says Gilmer will win, yet some Carthage posters are just assuming that our broadcasters speak for all of us fans. Our broadcasters don't have a real grasp of reality, in my opinion. This would be a MONUMENTAL win if we were to pull it off. I am a realist, and I know a whole lot of things would have to go right for us, and a bunch of things would have to go wrong with Carthage for us to have a legit shot at taking them down. It is what it is.
I might feel differently if we would've beaten them recently, but that hasn't happened since 2015.
I have learned to never count the Bucks out and I’m sure that’s the message that coach Surratt is preaching this week

lololol I didn't know if the broadcast was as bad as people were saying, then I tuned in at the start of the 3rd quarter.....Ohhhhhhh my, everyone was 100% correct in their assessment. Every other comment literally was like "How's that a flag, where's the flag on that play, You can't be serious about that hold, etc etc". MUCH better when I turned the sound off, though.
Wait until KJ breaks one and they will whine about Carthage's "leaglized holding"

What have I said that implied we will win the game. According to all Carthage fans we should just lay down.
Are you talking about online or during your broadcast

There are no givens.
Pleasant Grove should have won on Friday. They did not take care of business and take advantage of all the miscues from the Dawgs.
Carthage has to protect the ball better. I know Edwards had a great game, and he was the biggest weapon on offense, but the ball cannot hit the turf four times. Throws have to be better, and when they are catches have to be made. This team cannot waltz to a championship without playing their best week in and week out. I'm not dogging anyone. I am just stating that realistically there are a few teams out there that will take advantage of a poor performance and send us home.
That said, I think they will play better. There's usually one of these games, if not more, during each playoff run for the Dawgs. I look for a big improvement this week.
If you look back at the title runs, there always seems to be one game that the Dawgs steal a win when they probably shouldn’t have won bc of all the self inflicted wounds. They normally follow those games up looking like bonafide championship contenders. I hope that’s the case this week.

There are several players for Gilmer that require attention from athletic and fundamentally sound defensive players. Yes, our #1 will be the fastest player on the field, for sure, but it won't matter if we can't get him past at least the first level of the defense. The other players are #3, #7, #13, #11, and #14 (when he is out there). I just wish we played the vertical game more if that is what the defense is giving, provided we can give #11 time to throw, and I also wish there were a way to get #14 in space. He should be on the field all the time, in my opinion. He's probably the 2nd fastest player on the team. I'm not the coach, and I'm sure there is a reason for it, but I'm just saying.
I am hoping we can at least give Carthage a good test, and not get blown out on the field. Maybe, just maybe, we can keep the score respectable.
Always seem to be good games between these 2 regardless of their records. Good luck to your Bucks. Not sure that they'll need any luck according to sportsguru

The Dawgs have more turnovers in that place than they normally do all season.

Yes, as in “undefeated” at The Star
Even though the Dawgs are undefeated there, I hate that place. Strange things always seem to happen there that are not normal for the Dawgs.

Glad y'all are on the schedule. The Dawgs vs Dogs always seem to be good games and come down to the wire.
