The Dawgs will win IF they didn’t buy into the hype of yesterday’s game being the championship game. No state title was won yesterday and as long as the Dawgs stay focused they should win comfortably.

Well the Gilmer announcers just said that the 2 best teams in the state will play next week and Gilmer fans should be excited bc this isn’t the Carthage team that they are use to seeing. The Buckeyes match up better than they ever have against the Dawgs.

Nice wins Dawgs!!! Imagine if Surratt had 9 D1 recruits how good they be though.

I only mention Aledo when I say that I want the Dawgs to surpass their record for the most championships in 11 man football. No desire whatsoever to play them.

I honestly didn't think about LH until you mentioned them bc they are never brought up as the Big Bother that people want to see the Dawgs play and hopefully lose to. I would gladly accept those 2 loses again if it resulted in 9 rings scattered around them. I respect LH especially after learning of the coaches illness and what they were dealing with during the week of that last matchup.

I’d be ok with that game..The first matchup (Surratt’s first yr) LH was a defending state champion with a lot of returning starters who ran that offense to perfection. They were just better that night. 2nd matchup LH won by 3 and I’m not convinced that they were the better team that night. I will say that their coach was smart/ lucky to get the Dawgs in that environment. If you were there you know that the wind made the Dawgs pretty much one dimensional. However, I don’t think the brakes were beat off of the Dawgs either game.

I agree but one team you mentioned would rather play ETex school of the blind or any 3a or below program that's struggling.

I wouldn't mind playing either. Marshall, to me, should be a no brainer. They are less than30 mins away and always draw a nice crowd. Nac would be a nice replacement though or even Hallsville.

I think anyone with common sense knew that you were not being serious…. a couple of folks see Carthage mentioned and get moist and can’t keep themselves from posting. I bet if they spent as much time following/ rooting for their own team(s), then maybe their team(s) would become successful and competitive against the Dawgs or Kilgore.

I hope so….Surratt had the starting defense get back up when the VA Coach started calling time outs against the 2s and 3s..I think he got the hint and stopped doing it

Never been an advocate for running up the score but the “Trash” and “Go Gilmer” comments should be mentioned anytime Surratt is asked about the game…Hopefully the Dawgs will run it up on them
