For Clarification, what's your definition of dominant? Does 3 state Titles in 4A D1 not count as dominating? I hear that Carthage is a dominant team at the 4A DII level but couldn't dominate D1 which is crazy considering the fact that Carthage has more titles in 4a D1 than they do in 4A DII.

No doubt....It's just funny how some have chosen to say how lucky Carthage was that GR made a mistake but choose to ignore the fact that the mistakes by Carthage were what allowed GR to stick around. For the record, GR was a really good football team IMO

Who was gonna cover Bowens, Ingram and Colbert or stop Ingram catching or running out of the backfield? Do you not remember Gates and Brown being Dogs on that defense or Colbert begging you throw in his direction? All 3 Sr LBs with over 125 tackles….Look at how that defense mauled Kennedale a team that featured 2 2,000 yd backs and ran an offense similar to the Glen Rose offense that the ‘22 version struggled to stop. I’m a Bulldawg through and through so I appreciate the success of both teams and cheered until I was hoarse for both but I still give the edge to the ‘17 team

Very possible but I wouldn’t be shocked if they lost a game that they had no business losing along the way bc they lost focus. Remember they are 15-18 yr old kids that can get distracted by girls, grades, family etc… Don’t get me wrong though, I’d love for them go on another 40 plus game winning streak

Dawgs will have to replace a few key spots so hopefully they won’t read or believe this.

Not sure why but when Surratt first got here the Dawgs would lose a couple of games early in the season that many Dawg fans and outsiders felt that they had no business losing. In fact some were so ugly that it looked as if they Dawgs weren’t prepared. I personally thought it was coach Surratt’s way of making them focus and not look past anyone. May not have been the case,jmo Whitehouse showed the Dawgs one of the reasons it’s not smart to play up. The Dawgs led for the first half but depth problems and Mahomes’ magic took over the second half while the Dawgs were exhausted.

Try again, my feelings are not affected by anything ever said on a sports forum. As far the Dawgs being under attack, I've learned that haters are gonna hate.

No, I didn't forget and I only made my statement to show that move ins and move outs happened long before SS got to Carthage and started winning championships. The fact that he hurt the feelings of a certain fanbase bc he called a timeout to score a td before the end of the first half in a playoff game and said fanbase is still salty and looks for any chance to throw shade at the Dawgs is an added bonus.

I think that some fans of that Dookie Green team up the hwy choose to forget about the transfers and commuters that they got from Longview, Beckville etc during the years that they had success. I know its been a minute but let's tap the brakes when your school has done the same in the past and would do it again if given a chance.

Not seeing where any Dawg fan had an issue with being ranked #2. It's a select few on this board who have issues with the Dawgs and their success. Heck the author is a perfect example. #2 is not bad considering that the team he roots for didn't even crack the top 500.

No doubt but I have nothing but respect for them and their accomplishments. I had never rooted against them until this past season when they played the Lobos.

Comical how all of the Dawg haters are now Aledo fans…. Not taking anything away from Aledo, Great program and tradition….hopefully our Dawgs catch and pass them if for no other reason than to watch the haters get drinking problems and ulcers Happy New Year!!! Go Dawgs
