They were faking snap counts. The refs would not have penalized Gunter on defensive stunts.

I have read all the pros, and cons concerning whether or not Gunter is cheating. There was some good arguments made on both sides. I thing Hardeway had the best one. Some people vote with their feet. Nothing wrong with that. My only reason for not being able to root for these kids is their coach. The second State game that Newton played them, I think 2016 the Gunter players were barking out signals confusing Newton’s players. They did it three or four times before the refs caught on, and penalized the team. The Gunter coach was heard to say “They can talk can’t they”? Don’t believe that sends a good signal to your kids to always be above reproach. I totally lost respect for him on that day. If you can’t teach your kids to play with good sportsmanship then find another job.

Where do yo guys find this stuff. you are right, that song is not as good as I remembered it. And I do like the old oiler theme song. It seemed to fit Bum Phillips just right. Thanks for that.

I hope you’re right on Newton, Hemphill. The Hornets have been improving the last few years. They have spent many years in the swamps. They are due for a good season.

I’m not sure if they were still using this logo in 1977, but I am sure happy to see it again this year. Now If they would only bring back that great fight song, we’d be set. Part of the lyrics was “ Go you Dallas Cowboys Go”. I can’t remember the rest.

You Guys are making me tear up here, only got to go to one Astros game back in the 70’s, when we lived in Newton. We was so poor back then raising three kids, we couldn’t pay attention. I took my son, and two of his best friends, and enjoyed the “coldest foam in the dome also. Brings back some pretty good memories.

Sounds familiar. I just disconnected Dish, and went on the antenna. Stream the Cowboys on Thursdays. Watch the same old movies, and stuff for free. Antenna got some pretty good stuff. I never watched Network Television before. Now I watch, and enjoy 35 year old programs I never saw before. Lol
