  1. Rivalry game and playoff game in one big Friday night. Brain says Joaquin by 14. Gut says it’s 50/50 deal that goes either way. Should be a fun game to watch.
  2. Again much respect for both Joe and Harleton. Coaches putting kids in a position to be successful. Job well done by both kids and coaches! Pulling for both teams in the playoffs!
  3. SA big. It’s just their year. Best team in the region by 4TD or more each round. Book it.
  4. Fans are so out of control. One week the coaches are great and the next week they trying to lose on purpose. Gimme a break. Give Harleton credit and move on. Every loss is not about the blame game. Best of luck to both teams in the playoffs. Both should be proud of great seasons so far. Now everybody is 0-0!
  5. 56-0 SA. Not a knock on S’ville. SA is that good.
  6. Any and all Tenaha kids called out will be defended and taken personal. Trust me this is the root of all the claims of bad team chemistry. It has gone on for the last two years. The kids hear to much bad mess and we as adults have sat back and not addressed it. Those days are over. You have your right to your opinion. No doubt. Personal yes. I’m close to the situation. Hurt for the kids. I see the tears. I feel their fears. One of them showed me his phone and screen saver is littered with these type of negative remarks. Not sorry for defending a Tenaha child and will continue to do so. Your opinion is yours, but I know the truths and the kids. Thx for the good luck Friday we need all we can get.
  7. By exact same player I was referring to neither is a running QB. You obviously have a narrative . They are only separated by experience in my opinion. Experience means a lot. I guess Tenaha should play all the backups in hope of a spark by “your own words”. Strange to single out one position. Sparks are created by RB, WR, Etc etc. not just QB. Tigers have plenty of WR and RB types to “spark” also. Your saying it’s insanity to keep playing the current QB. That’s just not the case. It’s a A-Z Deal this year literally no one person is at fault. Backs have fumbled. Line blocking. Coverage. Tackling. Interceptions. Play calling. POOR EXECUTION! Penalties!!!! Etc etc etc But your narrative is the QB? Why not “spark” with others? Cause it don’t fit your narrative? Def of insanity to me is this...commenting about kids when you had NO IDEA what you are talking about.
  8. Well what was Garrison in 3A nothing. Sad thing is you dropped down and are still the same. You are what you are man. At least Tenaha drops down and wins. You lose at both . Last year Tenaha moved up and y’all moved down and Tenaha advanced father than your in playoffs. Beat Tenaha 44-40 I think. You have 230 kids Tenaha has 159. Heck by your logic IF Center were 3A they would have 4or5 state championships by now. Clueless. Silly arguement.
  9. Team chemistry is always a year to year deal with graduation. Locker rooms change like the leaves on trees. Yearly. Leaders emerge or they don’t or the coaches have to lead it for them. So team chemistry is ALWAYS a concern especially in Tenaha. Lots of “has been” voices standing on the fence in kids ears hurt chemistry yearly. The QB debate is always hot in Tenaha. Every year for along time the QB debate is almost stupid talk. One kid moved away cause another kid was moved to QB. Watched one get cussed out in Waco in State Semi by a grown man threatening to fight him. This ain’t new. Same old song. Last year QB tossed 29 TD and close to 3k yards and couldn’t make anyone happy. So of course this year its his fault. Shoot man it’s always QB fault. Ask Dak. Ask Mond. Ask Any UT QB lol. The back up QB is alway the hero. If you were at all games or knew both of these kids you would understand. Two years ago all we heard was current QB was better than the Sr. QB from many locals. Well he wasn’t. So that debate will rage forever at coffee shops and water coolers and Facebook and Smoaky forever. Just my opinion.
  10. I am around the Tenaha situation every day. Tenaha “QB2” is the 100% exact same QB as “QB1”. To say he is a runner then you don’t know the kids at all. Both wanna throw the ball and deep mostly lol. The two are literally exact players. Personality wise too..Tenaha team last year had chemistry issues from day 1 and that was all created by Tenaha raised kids. Ended up in the Regional finals. The “Tenaha” kids last year were the ones mad at each other cause certain kids ddnt play vs others! FACTS! Had drama all year! The key difference in QB play this year is the o-line play. Lots of hurries, pressure and sacks. The line is young and inexperienced. Honestly maybe trying the best they can. Anyone that really knows what’s going on realizes this team is just what they are....playing in D1 and not D2. Horn was 0-5 when he started at Tenaha playing a D1 Schedule. He and Ward both benefited from the D2 schedule. Both can coach yes and great guys. But reality is this years team can’t win either LOS. Tenaha has never dominated any D1 team that is considered good like Joaquin SA Garrison Or Alto....Beat them some, yes, but don’t dominate any of them. The Tenaha loss to Beckville is the only one that is unacceptable in my opinion. Harleton and Garrison losses you can kinda understand honestly. Harleton is coached up to the max. QB and chemistry issues are bad excuses. No doubt everyone could play better. The coaches kids that were hired this year are very laid back kids. Thats just a bad excuse and unfounded to blame the new coaches kids. Just plain and simple this is an avg D2 team playing D1 teams Next year Tenaha should be D2 again. Turned in 159 with a huge Senior class. It’s what they are. That’s the #s . 8-11 enrollment is in the 140’s. Spot on about not having a run game esp late It’s a must esp headed to Nov and Dec football. Congrats to Joaquin and as always Carthage on great seasons this year so far. Your coaches and kids are both great. Very passionate and well prepared with great athletes. .
  11. lol field a mess. Geez it rained. That field sits In a hole what would you expect!!?? 4.7 inches in 24 hours in parts of county. Constant complaining for Garrison never stops: Gripe about your coaches and you don’t even realize they are maxing that team out. Y’all are not very good this year. Your coaches are not the issue it’s fans like y’all that create issues non stop. Last year was yalls year and it didn’t work out.
  12. This district is proving if you can’t win the line of scrimmage your in trouble. Even the best coaches must have the kids on the LOS to be successful. Play calling is questioned at every level from NFL to Junior High. It’s just what we all do. I suspect in a few weeks when Garrison is playing in RD 3 of the playoffs feelings will get better. Region 3 is not very good this year. great teams SA... Very good teams.....Alto, Joaquin....Good Garrison(healthy) . Maybe I left someone out. Timpson QB being out first half vs Tenaha might haunt their season in a few weeks. Carlisle will be tough out. I would like to say Centerville just don’t see it. Harleton is really coached it appears. What a turnaround with the new staff. Shelbyville will make some playoff noise is my pick. Like I said maybe I forgot someone.
  13. Rams. 42-7. Clearly the class of Dist 11. Kids know the system and it’s a good one. They are clicking and got the egg game out of the waY vs Shelbyville. Headed to Rd 3 date with SA.
