  1. Brock needs a win and Gunter is not a team you want to face at this time.
  2. My first 17 are almost the same.
  3. I became associated with Childress ISD in 1998. I hired one of their finest. The person turned out to be diabolical. As result one of our students commented suicide. I fired this person and petitioned TEA to revoke this person's certification. During this process Childress ISD contacted me, and they requested I drop my charges because they wanted to hire this Childress native. I had found out that this wasn’t the first time this person had committed this crime. What I told the caller from Childress ISD was blunt and to the point. Since that day I have carried an extraordinarily strong disdain of Childress.
  4. Larry Brown, Parnell, Steve from Alto and Coach who played HS ball at Barbers Hill. I know I am correct in the last three… The first guy might not be Larry Brown.I know I am correct in the last three… The first guy might not be Larry Brown.
  5. Gladewater’s offense centers on D. J. Allen and that is pretty good hand to rely on. Mount Vernon’s offense revolves around a good passing QB and a crop of good receivers and an outstanding RB. Both offensive lines are very capable. Defensively the Bears put a load on Allen; however, he has more help on defense than he does on offense. Mount Vernon’s defense has been solid and makes big stops. They have allowed less than three touchdowns per game. Gladewater was big favorite last season. I’ve seen Mount Vernon twice this year and I think they are as good as last year. I haven’t seen the Bears this year. If does not Allen goes off on numerous big scores or Mount Vernon makes a bunch of mistakes I’ll go with the Tigers. Can't wait to watch.
  6. Gladewater is very worried about getting by the fourth best team in Region II AAA Division I. The playoff trip will be short for District 6 and Northeast Texas AAA DI teams.
  7. If Newton fail to beat Deklab... Region III AAA Division II will be kicked out soon!
  8. Newton and maybeeeeee Waskom will have a chance past region 3. Region 3 was the powerhouse but those day are gone for now.
  9. Tatum play hully gully I'm the focus ball. Football is a team sports and Tatum has not recognized the fact in several years. Don't bring up 10 years ago...they were load with DI talent and did not win it every year they should have. Remember losing to a Farmersville team that did not have a kid to play college ball.
  10. Look up the realignments on the UIL WEBSITE. I don’t exactly remember all of them…there is a2-1 rule in each division and they set number schools in 6A and work down.
  11. The Zs are not as experienced as they have been. That gives GW a chance. The QB must play lights out for GW to win.
  12. Everyone did not think Tatum was a big favorite over Pottsboro. Tatum had just lost to Sabine. Malakoff plays defense and can run and pass (not chunk) the ball. Pottsboro and Malakoff are well coached. Malakoff should win.
  13. AAA DIV. I DISTRICT 6 going 1-3 vs DISTRICT 5…did not shock anyone outside of NE Texas.
  14. When it comes to the down to the end of the Quarter Finals game is will be Timpson and most likely by a large margin. In the Semi Finals Timpson must be ready to play fast and physical or it will wind-up as it did last year.
  15. Not so fast…both have to carry the load for not so strong teams. Mount Vernon, Malakoff, and Timpson have RBs that are pretty good. Rushers includes QBs that run the ball and that will include players from Gladewater, Timpson and Groesbeck. If Pendergrass is 95% healthy they should win.
  16. Beckville is the number one dark horse in AA DIV I. Shiner, Refugio & Timpson are big favorites.
  17. Good post...I was wondering if Sabine had ever beaten Gladewater.
  18. The three best teams in District 6 are similar in one way. Gladewater, Sabine, and Tatum are very inconsistent. Gladewater lost to Gilmer and Kilgore, and both are good AAAA teams, but the Bears did not do a thing against Kilgore. Gladewater beat a one-win Center team by one point and struggled against a winless Atlanta. Sabine has taken care of run of the mill teams and lost big to the two good Division II teams. Tatum stood up and beat Daingerfield, played inconsistently against Gladewater and struggled Friday night with winless Atlanta. In the next three weeks Gladewater and Tatum have the opportunity gain an impressive win over White Oak and play Sabine for the district title. Also, Tatum must get by Jefferson who has lost big to Gladewater and Sabine. If the lack of consistent play continues a three-way tie could be in the cards. Would three pendulum clocks be appropriate trophies?

Abernathy has score 262 and allowed 82 points. This is where the similarities ends. Idalou relies on the power running game led by junior quarterback William Wall and senior running back Kelly Koch (6’1”-200). The Antelopes depend on senior quarterback Jess Hoel (6’0”-180) passing to senior wideout Luke Houston (6’4”-180) and junior wideout Anthony White (6’1”-185).
