  1. the middle east is a CESSPOOL.  those people have been fighting each other for centuries.  IMO.......let them keep fighting each other.  No matter how much money or military is sent there, they will still keep fighting each other because they all want their certain view of the mooslim religion done their way.  now that we can produce our own oil, i say screw them and let them kill each other.

  2. Ever since that whole flap with Curt Schilling and that Jamelle lady (can't think of her last name) ESPN has done a decent job of steering away from politics and keeping their focus on the sports.  I didn't care for it when they tried to allow their talking heads to bring politics into their programming.

IMO, just tell me what happened in the games.  That's all I want from them.

The one guy that it really bothers me that declined to comment on the Hong Kong situation was Steve Kerr.  He's always talked about political #### in his interviews, but apparently he didn't have the cajones to muster up anything to say about this.

Know you are trying hard to be emphatic and serious, but the POTUS you support is Donald Trump and the political party you vote for is the GOP, so that should have choked you up a little as you wrote that, how danged funny and obtuse you are being. Makes me smile a little. 🙄

This coming from someone who pulled the lever for the worst candidate in political history.  Still sucking on those sour grapes of defeat.

What name did I call you? Republican? I am so sorry.

And, refute, what? YOU called me a sycophant and a lemming. Remember that?

I see that reading comprehension escapes you.  I said name calling OR insults.  You chose the latter unlike your more radical comrades do and choose both.

And since you don't deny being a sycophant/lemming, then what I stated earlier about you is true.

You realized after you typed that statement of feeling, that you could have been anyone of a million other self satisfied old Republicans out there, but I am happy you used a big word. Was it on a calendar?

That's all you have?  You don't refute a single thing I say and instead go with elementary playground insults about intelligence?  Way to let yourself go and really stick it to me!

Typical liberal though.  When you can't argue points or you have no solid rebuttal, you resort to name calling or insults.

Hmmmmmm....interesting. Let's look at that word that 'conservatives' like throw around. Hatemonger, according to Vocabulary.com is 'one who arouses hate for others.' Have I done that? I haven't noticed any noticeable shifts of Trump Love on here, and everyone in my family already hates Trump, and most high school students I know think he is awful, except for a few who like to wear their red hats and see if they can start fights. So, no, I don't think I have aroused hate in anyone. Nope, you're wrong there. SMFH @ how wrong you are!

    '

you're a sycophant.  you believe anything and everything the lame stream media feeds you and then you regurgitate their talking points.

i believe that "lemming" can be interchangeable with sycophant.

..would be the last person I would want as my 'personal lawyer', as his babbling incoherence and his unseemly dealings are not a ringing endorsement for justice and integrity. What a mess!

you mean the guy who prosecuted john gotti?  he's a mess?

at least he still has his law license unlike a certain former democrat president.

  8. Don't let your heads explode just yet, read on..............

I really hope they try to impeach Trump.  I really do.

Because at that point, we can all be privy to ALLLLLLL this evidence that the liberals have been so secretive about that they have on Trump.  From their secret stash of collusion stuff all the way up to this Ukraine deal.  They say they have this piece of evidence and that piece of evidence (pencil-neck Schiff) and yet they haven't produced a single shred of it for the people to see.

And, who knows, once they finally produce what they have, it will most likely completely blow up in their faces just like the Meuller report did.

So please liberals, try to impeach him.  I want to see what you're hiding.

Besides, impeachment stands absolutely ZERO chance of going through the Senate.  It will be DOA.

Who said they asked anyone? I doubt very seriously that they did. He was there for a Republican get together, and I am fairly certain that they just went with what worked for them best.

Ford did when he went there.  they said it was a struggle just to get one car on stand-by in the case of an emergency.

so yes, someone was asked and gave permission.

Is the entire country banned from having private jets flying over it, and what is this to do with 'multiple mansions'? But, really most different, in that Mackinac Island doesn't allow motorized vehicles on it. You got that part, right?

And somebody on the island had to have given permission.  So why aren't you howling at whoever gave permission for the motorcade?

  11. This story is still too fresh and new for anyone to have any kind of accurate conclusion.  We don't know squat other than someone became a whistleblower.

But the media, with their never ending knee-jerk reactions, are quick to excoriate Trump with it.  For all we and the hapless media know, this could turn out to be nothing.  Kind of like collusion, kavanaugh, etc.

With all that, you might want to put down that chip on your shoulder about being someone acting 'smarter than you', and you could just be confident.

And, lots of Republicans, who deny science, who attack the media, who are disdainful toward public schools, who generally think all colleges are the enemy, don't necessarily embrace learning and being intellectually curious. I mean, look at who they value as a 'leader' in the White House right now. You might want to pick friends more in line with your quest for knowledge.

you teed this up so don't be mad while i dissect all this...................

Republicans don't deny science.  Republicans want more science done.  Climate analysis hasn't gone on long enough to be 100% sure or accurate and Republicans aren't going to put all of their eggs in one basket and risk destroying the livelihoods of Americans in order to satisfy the insatiable need of the left to control our lives.

Like I stated on another thread.  The media has brought attacks on themselves.  Their bias was very noticeable during the Bush and Øbama years, but they are totally unashamed and actually enjoy people knowing their bias exists since Trump took office.  If they don't want to be attacked, they need to practice honest and objective journalism.

I will agree to a certain extent with you on their disdain for public education.  The Republicans have always been pro-charter and pro-private schools.  Education is one of my more liberal leaning issues.  But when it comes to colleges and universities, liberalism has been allowed to run completely amok on those campuses.  Conservative students have been under attack by not only their liberal counterparts, but by professors who are supposed to foster a place of openness to ALL ideas and thoughts and not just those that align with their liberal agenda.  So don't say that Republicans don't want a free exchange of ideas don't "embrace learning and being intellectually curios" because liberals shut down anyone who really does want to learn and be intellectually curios.

And I can tell you right now, that the only reason that many Republicans, and many Independents, held their nose at the ballot box and pulled the lever for Trump, was because there was no chance in hades that they were going to vote for Captain Pant Suits.  She was the worst candidate ever brought forth by the Democrat party (at least for now) and many Independents did not want her to be their president.  Can you honestly say to yourself that our country, specifically our economy would be better under her than it is right now?  If you can, you are completely lying to yourself.

  13. the supposed "victim" in this latest flap, inconveniently for liberals, doesn't recall the incident in question.  didn't stop liberals from calling for his impeachment.

blasey-ford, and this was said by her lawyer, was compelled to come forward, even though she couldn't remember whether it was kavanaugh or not, in order to stop him getting on the SCOTUS due to him potentially being the 5th vote to overturn roe v wade.

so how can he be lying under oath with his denial if the accusers can't A) recall the event in the first place or B) can't remember if it was kavanaugh or some other dude?

I was under the assumption that impeachment only applied to actions taken while one was in office.

But if we are at the point where people can lose their jobs based upon uncorroborated and possibly unverifiable and possibly non-credible accusations, we're in trouble.

it also applies for those actively "seeking" office as well.

which is why something that may or may not have happened while in high school or college as impeachment evidence is overwhelmingly stupid.
