I agree MP has not faired well against metro plex teams in many years. New coach, new system, new attitude, and new hope for the future but still culturally challenged (if appropriately stated).

Season is upon us and Wylie East is coming to town Friday for MP's home opener. I do not know anything about Wylie East and with MP having a new staff this year not much info on them either. Sure hoping for a good competitive game to start the season off.

Looking forward to seeing MP scrimmage Liberty Eylau tomorrow evening. Have not heard anything this year so far and have not been to practice.

Has the makings of being a fun district I believe. Seems there is lots of history with most of these teams. MP has been in and out of districts with most of these teams and have played all at some point in the last 10-12 years. Don't know much about what everyone has returning but Marshall has to be considered one of the favorites and Nac as well. I think MP is a year away from early reports and having a new staff. Will be nice to see some different venues for sure!

Mp has been tied to Thigh since 1997 (if I remember correctly) now that won't be the case for the next couple years at least. So there is no telling where we wind up. We have been south w/o SS in the past and been west as well. Wished realignment wasn't so far off lol.

Sorry Mav I have not attended this year and have not seen my main source either!

SS is close but you sit much lower and a flatter angle than Grim. I tend to sit at the top and Grim you can hear everything and great view as well only real draw back is the concrete and moving steep steps can be a challenge. SS visitor side is not very high up so you do not get the same feel.

Not the kind of score total I expected. MP defense bent all night but came up with turnovers. Hallsville defense looked pretty good all night and kept MP bottled up very well. Special teams mistakes for MP affected both for both teams and in the end was the difference.

Both are good eating choices. Actually MP has a few new places to eat that are really good, Randy's is still good as well.

MP has played close with Hallsville the past couple years but have managed to lose the last 4 to the Bobcats. Homecoming has not been kind to the Tigers in recent years so I would not take offense to that if I were the Bobcats. It would be great to see the Tigers start district off with a win. I do expect a good game either way.

I believe he has a little over 300 yards rushing thus far this season with very few carries the first 2 games. Basing that off the limited info in the Daily Tribune!
