I don’t doubt that you’re from here and played, but to not know Briles had an incredibly successful run at Stephenville tells me you’re either awfully young or not a true Texas high school football fan. Either way, I’m glad you’re now enlightened
47 yrs young I love the game of football loved it so much I'm now disabled from playing. And no I actually forgot about his hs coaching career but dam if I don't remember it now.

Art Briles is a good coach man. I’m not going to argue about it anymore. He’s a hall of famer.
Your right he is a good coach. Still have my opinion on somethings but your right.

First to you Ms. Golfinut I'm sorry for not being as knowledgeable as you are but I am able to have my opinion. Wrong or right knowledgeable or not. Lol

Stephenville
Your absolutely right. And I almost stand corrected. I guess my gripe is when you label these coaches great and they do have high school background apparently but come to high school teams and they give them such a more competitive edge coaching. Then if and when they do win. They are considered to be such great coaches but with there college backgrounds it's almost a given they will win.

I’m not a huge Briles fan but me being passionate about the game of football like I am it’s easy for me to recognize a great coach when I see one. Do you not remember what he did before he started coaching at the college level?
Please enlighten me. No sarcasm meant and if u can give me a better view of him I'm good with that. My argument is we label these coaches that come to high schools great. But if you take the average good coach and give him a good team I bet he will win.

All you have to do is pull up Briles coaching resume.... I don’t even need to waste my time arguing with you. Just do a little research and come back.
Come back I never left. I don't need to look it up I'm not a art briles guy but since your such a briles candy ... You tell or show me all the big wins outside of big 12

How’s your coaching resume look?
Not good at all but if I may ask why not show me I'm wrong on what I've said. Oh just asking how's your resume I'm sure way better than mine.

Nope, season didn’t pan out how we wanted it too. I’ve wanted Jonny to lead our program for several years. Trying to blend some new scheme stuff in while carrying over what worked from previous years all in a shortened off season. GW will be back. Troll else where
Better learn how to play Defense. And get to working on it Asap. This is no knock on Coach L. But this team suffered due to No defensive presence on field or off. Even if Coach Berry would have been here I believe they would of benefited from it more. Defensively for sure. The bears will be fine if they get a defensive mindset just like the offensive mindset. First year it will be better.

The Bears travel to New Boston next Friday, October 2nd at 7:30 in only the 2nd meeting between these two schools. The Bears won the first meeting 40-7 in the Region playoffs in 1984. For longtime Bear fans that 1984 match-up with New Boston came the week before what would arguably be called one of the greatest games in Texas High School football, the showdown with the 1983 State Champion Daingerfield Tigers at Rose Stadium in Tyler. That classic playoff game ended in a 27-27 tie after the Tigers blocked a Gladewater extra point late in the game. Daingerfield advanced 6-5 on penetrations.
Quick question anybody has a clue on E.Carter
