Good game tonight on both sides. Ended after 8 innings in a 1-1 tie.

Anyone heard how Grapeland did this morning?

As she is many times. She really should keep her rediculous opinions to herself.

How did everyone come out in this region for District?

And does a great job I might add. She is very smart behind the plate.

He did try to get enough for 2 teams. He only has about 16 now. He lost one to grades and one quit bc her grades were dropping. The others that they tried to get to fill out a team were just not interested. He also lost his assistant coach from last year at the last minute, which left him with a young assistant coach that has never coached softball. He really has put alot more effort to this than he is getting credit for.

Looks like somebody better give Carthage some love. WOW!!!!!!!!! Congrats to Carthage. Way to go girls.

The pick for 1st Team Utility player is an absolute joke. All she did is run bases during district and played out field in two preseason games in front of much more qualified players bc her mom showed up in town to watch. When she did run, she got called out numerous times because she didnt know what to do. That was strickly due to lake of knowledge of the game. Not her fault. Coach gets credit for that. Just bc she is one sec faster that an experienced player on the bench doesn't make her the better choice. Daddy is a football coach at Van. You would think that Taylor Wilson would have goten the nod for Utility player over Burnett. During district Taylor batted, ran and played the field. Go figure?????????????????????

Once again the Lady Vandals had to rely on a high powered offense to get them out of a jam late in the game. How long they will be able to rely on that alone? My bet is not long. Their pitching was a little weak last night also. Maybe next week will prove to be a better showing for them.

Looks like Bullard, Paris NL, Rusk, Quitman, Celina & Rusk have lined up the toughest of competition for pre-game warm-ups. Van looks to be still taking the easy road. Hope it doesn't bite them in the rear end.
