  1. Last district game for us with you all. I have enjoyed the talk and back and forward. As much as going 6A should make us nervous, the competition level within our district this year will probably be higher then where we land (rumors some of the folks at Wylie East are hearing is district either with Garland ISD schools or Richardson ISD schools) Good luck in playoffs for those of yall going!
  2. East numbers will be about 2480 so that’s gone push them to 6A. Will group us with Wylie HS so probably push us to Garland district or Richardson district
  3. Crazy cause at East the DE James is back healthy. When he went down at halftime of North game, that’s when we couldn’t stop the run. Crazy the difference one DE made for us defensively. But Thursday he had 6 tkls and I seen like 3 of those was tfl. Proud of them kids this year and think their senior year they gone have a fighting chance.
  4. Being the lone Wylie East person here we have not lived up to expectations. But the injuries are playing a big part of the last few weeks. We have 2 kids who are D1 caliber and both are hurt(yet both still trying to play through it)… HS football is a weird game but let’s be honest it’s no next man up when your best guys can’t go. Proud of those boys nonetheless
  5. I wish .. not looking likely though… tough break for those kids. They gone be a real problem for whatever district they end up in next year(looking like they will be up to 6A numbers which could be a easier district compared to this one )
  6. obviously its only highlights, but this is Washingtons so far this year. I hope hes healthy this week. Last week was so winnable if he doesnt get hurt in third. http://www.hudl.com/v/2FwujW
  7. Knowing both families Washington is in a boot and James shoulder is partial tear but said he can play thru it if he can handle the pain. Those boys are both giving they all. Think North had total of 19 yds in D at halftime and James couldn’t go they just exposed his back up over and over . Also Washington got two offers today from University of Houston and University of Toledo to play RB
  8. East lost 4 players and QB Washington Starting RB and DE James got hurt. All very serious it looks like. Lost all momentum in second half
  9. Same thing the fans said as well. We didnt even know it was going on until we seen the lights at the stadium. To yall point 2-7 is wide open. I dont worry much about the district and offense but from the games I have watched on youtube and stat sheets, defense is where teams are lacking. from a biased opinion and seeing them last year to this year watching East defense is night and day. havent yet given up 30 pts in a game (think its like a 23ppg avg) and the way they run the ball(250 a game) they will be able to keep it close and surprise folks. I dont have on my fan glasses and ready to say they top 3 in the league but they are closer to the top then they are the bottom. if Washington the QB isnt all district Id be shocked.
  10. Top to bottom, its going to be very competitive from what I am seeing. I watched Wylie East yesterday. They started slow and very complacent. Gave up a lot of yds in the first half but buckle down and hold Royse City scoreless in the second half(kickoff return for touchdown). Look forward to district play
  11. I’m going to reserve that until I see games tonight. Cause after Longview and HP I still think it’s wide open 3-7.
  12. Wylie East won 19-14. Gave up a total of 157 total yards tonight. While there are a lot of areas to clean up thats a big improvement for a defense that gave up over 450 yards a game last year and a team that ran for over 400 on them last year. QB Washington had 157 yards rushing.
