Ok first off the coverage is going to depend on the pressure that Dayton brings... No matter who you are or what league you play in more than 5 secs off coverage and someone is wide open. Yea Everman brought people on blitz but they let Tyrik hold the ball for more than that and he found the open man... If Tyrik can see the coverage and get away from it he will complete passes all day... The big deal is deciding who you bring on the blitz because it has to be quick because SS does most of their throws on quick routes, where the blitz will barely play a factor... Unless, they blitz at the right time when they are going for a deep pass...

I am not going to be a person to predict a winner of this game not knowing anything at all about Dayton. But, if SS plays offensively like they did against Everman, all they will need is 2 to 3 big stops defensively to win it... Not saying they are going to WIN or anything, just an observation on what was suppose to be one of the stingiest defenses in the state...

Great game to watch in person. Everman dominated the first half with their running attack, but couldn't stop SS offense. The only 2 problems I saw with Everman were they had no passing game to go along with their running game (or didnt show much of one)... Also, they didn't call ANY timeouts when SS had the ball on the last drive. Just might as well give up while your down only by 2 scores huh with 4 minutes left... SS got stuffed on a first down and didnt use a timeout, and just let the clock run. Same thing on 2nd down and long... Then it went to 3rd and long no TO, not even trying anymore at that point... Makes no sense just to give up...

5a games have been in Relient the past few years havnt they? The Sulphur Springs newspaper could care less where the game could be next week, just because you are from DFW doesn't mean people from SS are all rednecks, and your a big tycoon in the city.

I havnt posted on this site in probably over a year before a couple of days ago(I still read the site every now and then). The one thing I learned from this site is that if you are in BRF's district you will never win an argument with her (even if you are not bad mouthing Winnsboro). But yet she can do it freely. Winnsboro lost one district football game this year and she lost her mind, saying she didnt even think they were going to beat Quitman or even get into the playoffs. Being from Quitman I had a chance to hang out with a couple of Winnsboro football players last break. The first thing that came out of their mouth was if your read SMOAKY.com please don't judge us on what BigRedFan says on there, she makes us look bad with her rants and raves. Oh and since this thread is about volleyball, I have dated 3 different girls from Winnsboro back when I was in HS and they all said they would have loved to play. I know BRF is going to have something to say to me. If you have something to say BRF as in what football players, I would be happy to give you their names in a PM or whatever they are called. Because they said that they couldnt stand your antics.

panthercb, Im normally all for AG winning anything, especially basketball (knowing Coach Thomas pretty well). But you are setting yourself up for if and when GS might defeat you. Just to let you know your going to bring the smack talking on yourself.

bleeds you have never been competitive in baseball have you. its just like when anything else immature happens in baseball. its a part of the game. this is a forum to voice your opinion. you being a moderator should know best. don't get upset cause someone gave their opinion. People today take the game to seriously. Yea what the kid did was wrong, and was probably called by the manager or the catcher to have it done. But, the fact of the matter is it is baseball. How was this kids actions any different from any MLB manager acting like a 3 yr old after a bad call, or intentionally hit a batter for retaliation reasons. Everyone needs to realize that this kind of stuff has been happening in baseball since the game began. It will always be in the game, no matter how bad we all get on here and criticize the actions of the ones who condone it. Trust me this isnt the first time that this has happened, and wont be the last. People are just to competitive and get lost in the game.

they are in a pretty decent district now with caddo joining in... it will be tough for them, but hopefully they are better. It seemed like they had some athletes last year just fumbled and made WAYYY to many mistakes the game I saw them play.

This should be a pretty good series. Hope Quitman plays well.

look at the times of the gilmer vs. van series. it works out perfect for them to play there. Gilmer plays at 5 thurs, dont play on friday, then 5 on saturday if necessary

Mrknowitall, Grand Saline, Quitman, and Winnsboro all tied for first place to in a tough district.

If this is a one gamer I will take GS. I dont believe they have the depth in pitching to go to a 3 gamer.
