The actual conversation revolved around the coaches that APPLIED for the Kilgore softball head coach. Her family and other select/summer coaches were not included in that discussion, duh...................

ok, FBJ, i might have been wrong when i said KHS, how about another school in the district...........???. I am so appalled right now, and anger is not a good thing, so I will take a while to assuade my mood, then decide how to handle this thing. I really appreciate the info and your professionalism on here, same with Rocky, he makes intelligent, valid points and isn't afraid to speak his mind. I'm sure in time we might all get along (save one, who is not on my good list right now), but if we don't, we can't have some interesting dialogue.

FBJ, thx for the info, and if indeed 8yrs is a faculty member at KHS, he/she is in for a long road with me. Degrading the coaches at your own school is reprehensible. I can see coming home from a 13-hour day coaching and not receiving enough pay for your efforts and discussing your frustrations with your spouse. But to do so publically, not acceptable. and Big Rocky, I realize that I'm stirring the pot. I have a history with blesseddaily, and i don't like the attitude she has that she or someone with whom she cohorts didn't get the Kilgore job, so she comes whining about the hiring process on a forum. Get a life. The administrators receive countless applications and are not obligated to respond to any of them. So, not getting a call-back is a huge smoke signal in the sky: YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET THE JOB!!! Most coaches apply at many schools, thus increasing their chances for success. To dig in on Vallery and Duke was out of line, so I have a problem with blesseddaily (can't wait to have our confrontation next summer in Austin........hehe, just kidding, remember this is also entertainment......) The comment was that Savony deserves the best coach. Guess what? They got her...............hehe!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, so that's my opinion, and I'm not going anywhere, and I'm glad to be a part of this lovely softball discussion, so see you beautiful people soon.
