This is a forum for discussion and playful banter! Some have tough skin and can take it, I myself can dish it out and take it but will always support Gilmer and not back down from anyone. Coach traylor feels terrible about friday nights game and puts all the blame on himself. He has helped create some of the atmosphere in gilmer over the last couple of years and maybe it is time to go back to plain Gilmer sports and forget about all the HYPE and extra activities on the sidelines and background and just compete. When things are good people jump on the band wagon and when it is bad the real fans will stay and support, I will back them win or lose, I will have opinions but that is all they are is opinions. Support your team at all times and don't sweat the small stuff. It is only a game and these kids need all the support they can get.

Defense did a good job last night after 1st quarter. Short field and fumbles in our end of the field in the third quarter were too much for the defense to handle. In my opinion the offense did not come up to the plate last night, but it is over now and we have to move on.

Yes it is amazing, talent alone sometimes doesn't win the prize, it takes HEART also, LE had alot of heart last night and we made too many mistakes to overcome the result. Still doesn't mean Gilmer wasn't a good team. We have just got to dig down and play gilmer football without the hipe and take it one game at a time.

Well, first off, Congrats to LE, you were the better team last night. This was a typical big game HOMER for the buckeyes, You can not fumble in a close game with a team like LE and win. I feel bad for the seniors on this team, and don't think I am bashing players or coaches but just a few things I saw that contributed to the outcome. Offensive line was terrible, and could not handle the pressure of the LE defense. Special teams were a problem for the bucks all year and it showed last night. LE had a short field all night long cause we kick off a squib kick to the 35-40 everytime, don't understand that. "Bus" fumbles kickoff and stands a looks at LE player recover. GJ did not have time and was under pressure when trying to pick receivers to throw to. You have 53 seconds left in first half, forth down Gilmer to stop and get ball back, 2TO's left and you don't stop the clock to have a chance to maybe score again, which was almost the avg time we would score during reg. season), that was a bad decision on Traylors part. I felt even though LE scored 39 points, after the 1st quarter the defense stepped up and played a h@## of a game. Domineque was a BEAST on the field. Remember two of the TD's for LE in the third quarter were after buckeye fumbles deep in our end of the field. I know that the fans were shocked last night, but I think the person that was shocked the most was Jeff Traylor at the end of the game standing on the sideline just staring at the score board. This is the second year in a row that we have been knocked out in the first two rounds with expectations of a state title. Like I said hard fought game and I will always support gilmer and its athletes but had to come out and tell it the way I saw it, and by no means taking anything away from LE's talent. I will pull for LE the rest of the way.

Look dude, I didn't come on a post and trash anyone. I'm just making a point to say that Kinne and Brown are the two studs like Middlebrooks and James are for LE. There are several other players for LE that are more than worth mentioning as you did for Gilmer. Why are you on an LE post if you don't want to see something about Gilmer. Sheesh. I'll be so glad when this game is over. Last year during baseball everyone was already giving the title to Lindale or Carthage and you see what happened. Since day 1, people have said that Gilmer is the team to beat and LE is going to try and do that this weekend. For one thing I went to this post to READ, about L-E, But the more you READ it is more of how Gilmer only has 2-3 players. SHEEESH!!! You have been the one bashing our team and I have done nothing but say that L-E is talented and will give us our best game of the year to this point. Good luck to both teams but yes I will pull for the buckeyes and hope to see L-E friday night.

Gilmer would use Kennedy or Godfrey at QB, harris or kennedy or stevens or ashley at reciever. Gilmer has plenty of talent spread around to handle anyone in the region if not the state, so don't come on a post not designated for gilmer and trash on the buckeyes. Now as far as L-E they have alot of speed and talent to go around. will be a great match between them and us.

Sure was alot of talk about Carthage in the post season early on what happened to the Bulldogs?

Will be a great game, two well coached teams. Lots of tradition and Longview stadium be rocking Friday night. I remember a playoff game in 2003 that L-E played Lindale and I noticed that L-E's band played like the whole game, is this common for them, I thought it was kind of neat that they did this. Still too much ball left to play. they are not strong enough on both sides of the ball to say they could go 17 or 18 games.

Parcells just looks tired on the sideline, he just isn't enjoying the game anymore. I say unless they win the title this year he retires and a new era will start AGAIN in Dallas.

Curtis deserves all the honors and hipe that comes with it. He is a pleasure to watch and will be exciting to watch on Saturdays also.
