  1. What schools have offered him? He is a strong runner.
  2. Chico, I agree with you 100%. It has been a great year. We have come together as one big family. They are a great group of young men and the coaches are super. Of course I am very proud of my grandson #11 Tim. What a ride, one that I will never forget. Pop
  3. Noisemakers okay for playoff game By JON DUSTIN BROOKS, News Messenger Wednesday, December 12, 2007 There will be no problem with noisemakers being used at Friday's Class 2A, Division II semifinal playoff game between Elysian Fields and Altair Rice Consolidated, as long as they are kept within the stands, according to the Waco Independent School District. News broke on a Smoaky.com forum — a local high school sports Web site — Tuesday afternoon that Rice Consolidated had sent a fax to Waco ISD and to the UIL asking that noisemakers be banned from Friday's game in accordance with UIL rules. The UIL, however, does not employ a rule that prohibits noisemakers from being used at outside sporting events, unless the noisemaker simulates the sound of a whistle. Jack Stanley, manager of athletic services at Waco ISD, confirmed that Waco ISD did receive a fax Monday morning from Rice Consolidated concerning the use of noisemakers at Friday's game. Stanley said the fax stated that Rice did not agree with noisemakers being used from the field of play but that Rice did not have a problem with noisemakers being used from the stands, which Waco ISD Stadium allows. "We take all of the decision-making off of us and put it on the schools to come to an agreement," Stanley said. "If the schools can't agree on something, we are not going to allow it. "All we want is for the teams to show up and play." Elysian Fields head coach Ted Patton also confirmed that a fax was received by Elysian Fields High School from Brad Dumont, athletic director at Rice Consolidated. Patton said the fax stated, "(Rice) do(es) not agree with any noise makers. Only clappers and small rattles in stands only." Kim Rogers, director of public information at the UIL could not confirm that a fax was received by the UIL but she did say that it is up to the host venue to determine whether or not noisemakers are allowed. "The UIL does not have a rule disallowing noisemakers at an open-air event," she said. "It is up to the host venue." Section 1208, subchapter '(n)' of the UIL Constitution states: '. . . noisemakers are prohibited at League athletic events held in field houses and/or gymnasiums,' but says nothing about a football field. According to Rogers, that is the only UIL rule concerning the use of noisemakers. Elysian Fields fans have been known to make its share of noise in support of its team throughout this season, especially during the Yellow Jackets playoff run. A group of fans self-dubbed the Megaphone Mafia have been at the forefront of such activity. During the Jackets' win over Crawford, EF's home side of the stands was on its feet for the majority of the game, shaking jug and jar-shaped noisemakers filled with earthen material, in addition to noise clappers.
  4. Since you made that statement, BigDog tell us what do you know about Crawford?
  5. That would make a great picture for a playoff shirt. I'd buy one.
  6. Just having fun! I hope it bother you. Why are you not at the game?
  7. What with this "Good luck Frankston"? How would you like it if I posted Good luck Blooming Grove? I thought us 19-2Aers were sticking together. Good luck Frankston, BEST luck Elysian Fields.
  8. I am slowly getting over it. I see the doctor three times a week. He tells me to get on Smoaky and let it out and don't hold it inside. Just following the doctor's orders. I do seem to be get a little better after each win. Thanks for the great team comment it is almost as good as being the best team. Are you coming to our game friday? I hope so, you will be safe, I plan to stay down on the sidelines so that I don't start any trouble. You may know I am a new comer to the area. How long has it been since Ef BEAT TATUM? Too Long!
  9. On second thought, those Tatum birds should be and probably were thankful to EF for beating Troup. It gave them a share of the district championship. If not, that would have been a case where the best team won state, but didn’t win district. Food for thought.
  10. Sounds like a serious case of indecent exposure? It might even be a felony. Was anybody hurt?
