  1. Marshall High School, a 5A program in deep East Texas, is in need of a 9th Football/ Asst Baseball coach. The teaching field MUST be History or Comp SS. Send resumes and/or questions to [email protected] and [email protected]
  2. You have a message in your inbox. You evidently have an axe to grind with me. And yes... I'm in athletics everyday. Assigned to baseball during the period just like two other of our coaches. People need to ask if they really want to know instead of hiding behind a screen name and assuming they have a clue.
  3. I'm assisting in baseball and yes I will be finishing out with them. I am still fulfilling my duties exactly as they were assigned to me. Who knows what will happen when the new guy comes in but I will be doing what is right for the kids unless I am told otherwise. I entered into an obligation when I took the job and as long as I am here, and wanted to complete it, I will do just that.
  4. I figured. Y'all do a pretty good job of stirring eachother up.
  5. Thank you for wishing me luck. I assure you I am not trying to "call out" Allday. I'm sure he means well. I am just saying my piece since my name keeps coming up.
  6. "As a matter of fact I have been told that they have no reason to not renew a contract for me at Grand Saline ISD." There is a line from the message I sent you. Just like I said in the above line, I still have a contract here if I want it. The plain and simple is that I decided not to apply for the AD job. Which I also stated. If I had applied I would have had to go through the same process as everyone else. "Whether I stay or whether I don't... I have been assured that would be entirely up to me." There is another line from the message. That line also stated that whether I stayed or went the choice would be mine. NOWHERE in a message did I ever say the job was mine because it wasn't. Allday, I know you from when I coached you in high school and when you asked what I would do I told you. I had no clue what I was going to do at the time. I now know what my family and I will be doing next year but I can promise you this... For the rest of this year I will be coaching my butt off in orange and black to help these kids try to accomplish their goals. However, instead of arguing over who knew what, it would be greatly appreciated if y'all would concentrate all focus on hoping that the best possible choice is made for these kids and community. They have been working their tails off and deserve the very best chance to be successful. If a decision was made tonight I trust that it was in the best interest of the kids and community. I wish the Grand Saline Indians the best of luck in the future. I will definitely be keeping in touch with the kids as we have developed some strong relationships.
  7. Gone??? I'm right here. Thanks for filling me in on what I am going to be doing though.
  8. I cannot express how deeply saddened we are for this precious family. Ashley has been a friend of mine since we were in diapers. An abundance of love and prayers to the Morgan family from the Ludlow's. Psalm 147:3 God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
  9. All sub varsity games were cancelled due to weather.
  10. Just picked up a copy in Tyler at the Wal-Mart on South Broadway.
  11. My guess will be Tyrone Swoopes from Whitewright, Kenny Hill from SLC, and the Colleyville Heritage QB. Oh... With Swoopes being front middle.
  12. Backstabber... I dont usually reply to any of these type of posts on this site. However, I believe I will this time. There seems to be a very sour individual hiding behind that screen name. In order for you to know what is in our locker room you must have ties to the school and program. If that is the case then it makes your rant even more sad than I originally thought. With that being said I can tell you that, according to our BLOCK I and one part of what it originally stood for when it was introduced before I was the head coach, I will not question your character because that questions you as a person. However, I do question your conscience. Your conscience refers to the fact that you know the difference between right and wrong but, will you actually be able to make the right decision. Our BLOCK I revolved around the aspects of family, football, and how to positively effect both of those areas. As a team, athletes and coaches alike have learned to love and care for each other because the guys in that locker room are the closest thing to a real family that some of these kids have. Your "personal foul stats" are a whole different story. Yes, we had some late hits early in the season but not near the number that you threw out there. I will even fill you in on what was said early in the year. The kids were told that we were going to play hard through the whistle and that we were going to learn to finish. They were told that if they finished a split second late then I would eat the first one during the first few games but we better dang well know how fast or slow the officials blew the whistle after that time. I didn't want the kids pulling up like they used to when they "thought" the whistle was going to blow. Don't even get me started on the discipline. As you can see, I don't really have anything to hide. Feel free to swing by my office sometime soon so that I can put a face with your screen name. Michael Ludlow
  13. This is away from the original topic but that might be a good thing. Does anyone know who Beckville scheduled as their scrimmages and non-district games?
  14. He was inducted into the high school baseball hall of fame in January. I believe he is still the all time winningest coach in Texas high school baseball history. He has been retired for a few years. I believe Andy and the Timpson superintendent worked at Beckville together for a little bit so that might explain why this happened all of a sudden. It is much safer to get someone you know when it is this late in the year with your season already started. Just thought I might clear up some stuff before someone tried to once again make a positive thread into something negative.
  15. Who did Beckville end up getting on the schedule for non-district in football?
  16. Andy is a legend in high school baseball. When did this happen?
  17. 48-47 Edgewood... 15 seconds left... Alba ball. Game Over
  18. Congratulations on showing everyone that you have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. The majority of coaches get a $5,000 to $8,000 stipend to coach 2-3 sports and put in A LOT of extra hours on top of the classroom preparations. That means morning, nights, weekends and yes... Most of the day during that summer time that people like you think coaches and teachers get off but still get paid for. That's another story for another time though. Most of us never look for any praise or gripe about the time we put in. We do it because we love it and know that it makes a difference in young peoples lives. What other year round profession do you see people staying in and busting their tails for that only pays $5,000 to $8,000 a year. While you sit at your computer and fabricate other captivating ways to gripe about people that put in time with today's youth for a very minor amount of money I will lay here tonight and get some rest before I start another week of trying to find ways to make kids realize how important they are to the people around them. Do me a favor... Remind me why you even get on this site? I apologize for venturing away from the topic. Let the talk about the future of New Diana continue.
  19. So Smoaky... Has your involvement in this search provided you with anymore information?
  20. Cooper Jones is a good player... For the UNT Mean Green. He graduated from Lone Oak last year. The head coaches son, Lasseter, takes the majority of the snaps this year.
  21. Game over. 33-22 Alba defeats Leonard for their first playoff win in school history.
  22. Leonard threw an interception with 2:22 left. Time to see if Alba can run out the clock.
