  1. I've been told, and have overheard some conversations that people from the Palestine Wildcats side of town are very happy that WW lost. Ecstatically happy even. I really don't know why. When Palestine was in the playoffs I was happy for them. I kept up with their scores, and was sad when they didn't make it all the way. I'm not sure why it can't be the other way around. Yes, the last few years they have been rivals in 3A football, but we are all still from the same town, and we should all support whichever team gets to the playoffs. A town divided is not good. Especially one as small as Palestine. I am extremely happy with WW's success this year. My son goes to school there. I am happy with Palestine's playing this year too. I graduated from there. Do I wish WW could have made it further? Of course...I believe every one of us sitting there freezing ourselves to death on Saturday at Baylor wishes that. Will we have to wait until next year? Yep... My son will be gone from there next year, so that's why it was so sweet his senior year was a part of history in the making. Westwood -- WE'LL REMEMBER YOU!!
  2. That last post (footballislife) was vulgar and uncalled for. You can say what you want to say without it having to get offensive to others.
  3. Apparently my intention of my post, didn't come across right. Congratulations to both teams anyway.
  4. Not a ridiculous post at all. This was to the WW players. We know they deserved to win, and had a bad day and bad conditions. If you don't like my post, do not comment. It wasn't to you.
  5. I know that there are some very sad WW guys out there. I just want to say, don't be sad. You guys did awesome and we are all very proud of you. Those of us who travelled to the game, know the conditions you had to play in. I am going to say (and this is is not sour grapes talking), that China Springs did not defeat you, the weather conditions did. They weren't that great...the field was wet and slippery, as was the ball. And I saw Crawford putting his hands in his shirt many times. I was about 20-30 minutes down the road before I was assured that I didn't have frostbite in my hands. they hurt so bad, that I couldn't feel them, and it felt like someone took a hammer to them. Many people left because they couldn't feel their feet. It had to be a million times worse to have to be PLAYING in those conditions. CS's quarterback had a handwarmer...I don't know why Crawford did not have access to one of those. He should have. He probably couldn't feel his hands. Anyway, Congratulations to China Springs...the ball bounced your way this year. Congratulations to WW for being so great this year. Anyone who has seen any of your games, knows that it was something far greater than talent that defeated you. You guys are awesome!!!
  6. The only thing that is going to make this not as much fun is the weather. I HATE being cold (AND hot lol). But other than the weather this game is the MUST SEE game of the week.
  7. There's nothing better than playing high school football at Thanksgiving.... Oh wait.....yes there is.... It's playing high school football at Christmas!! Go Panthers!!
  8. www.kyyk.com When you get to the website, just click on the sports link. Then on the top right hand section of the page it says, "Click to Listen Live". Just click on that and enjoy the game. Normally, if you click on that they are broadcasting the Palestine Wildcats, but since the Cats aren't in the playoffs this year, KYYK is nice enough to let us listen to the Panther's playoff games. During the normal season, you can go to KYYK.com and on the bottom left hand corner you can click on the LISTEN LIVE section of the 1450 - Knet link and you can hear the Westwood Panther's games. See? They have it covered either way. Good Luck Panthers!!! And Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!
  9. Now I'm really confused...first I heard Friday at 2pm at Baylor.....then I heard CS was causing a ruckus about the tapes, home field advantage, and place....then I heard it was at Baylor Saturday at 2pm. Then it was Baylor Saturday at 1pm. THEN........ I went to the Palestine online paper and it said it was at Baylor Friday at 1pm. What day and what time and where is this game??? LOL!
  10. Cool! That was an awesome play...I know you are proud....even I am proud. :)
