  1. Sawemoff what do you have against Attaway? Do you not think he is good? If you don't think he is good please show me some type of stats or something so you can back that statement up. Why do you guarantee that UT isn't recruiting Attaway or anyone else on that list, have you talked to him personally? If so you might have a point, but I seriously doubt you have. Attaway has the physical stature, and not to mention the brain to go along with it to be very successful.
  2. From what someone told me it actually wasn't the bed sheets, it was a bandana that strangled her. The little girl and her brother were playing and she had a bandana on and some how the bandana got caught on the bunk bed. Her brother ran to get her mother who was in the bathtub and the mother thought the he was joking with her so the mother called for her daughter and she didn't come, so she got out and went into the room and by that time it was too late. The last I had heard they were doing an investigation but thats just what I'm hearing. I got this from a reliable source, who they got it from I'm not sure. My prayers are with both families and the community of Whitehouse, this has been a tough week on everyone.
  3. I don't think anyone has said that Whitehouse is a dynasty. It has been said that people think they will finish on top again but that doesn't mean they are calling them a dynasty. They are just simply stating where they think they will finish just like everyone else. I'm not saying they will finish on top allthough I hope they do, but I do believe they will be in the top three. They are going to have a lot returning starters on both the offensive side of the ball as well as the defensive side. I believe the key to their success is going to be the offensive line, the sooner they gel the better the team will be. This year should be another interesting year in district 12-4A, I can't wait.
  4. I wouldnt count Whitehouse out of the race for the top two. Im not saying they are going to be there, but they have a good chance although they did lose some important players they also have a lot returning.
  5. For the most part most of the receivers are returning, both safeties, 2 linebackers (one who has started since he sophomore year), a defensive end, a defensive tackle, one of the offensive lineman who has been on varsity since his sophomore year and obviously the QB. I may have missed some and some of those guys may have already gotten moved since last year but I believe that is most of them.
  6. You cant take away anything from Kilgore they have been dominant in the past few years, well in football atleast and im not a big baseball fan but I know they were pretty good in that as well, so you definitely cant take anything away from them. However Whitehouse has made huge strides in the past three years thanks to Coach McFarlin and his staff. So this year Whitehouse has the edge over Kilgore and I dont see how anyone could disagree with that just like no one can really disagree with Kilgores past. As for the future well I guess we will see in the next few years, I dont know an awful lot about what Kilgore has coming up but I do know that Whitehouse has some excellent young athletes coming up that could very possibly make an immediate impact. Not to mention all of the talent that will be returning to next years football team. Like I said I dont know about the future in Kilgore but I do know that the future in Whitehouse is very bright.
  7. Yes, they do. I dont know if they run right up to the mall, but they will run somewhere really close to it. Im not sure about which bus to take or anything like that but they have them. I dont know how many people you are looking to carry, but I live in Austin and when we have been to some games we park by the soccer field. It is free during the Horns games but I dont know if it will be during the state basketball tourney. Just another option.
  8. I saw one REL plastic megaphone thrown which shouldn't have been, but I that was the only one I saw. I definitely didnt see several but I could be wrong.
  9. As much as I hate to say it the guy got the shot off. Someone was videotaping the game last night and you can clearly see he got the shot off. Tough way to lose, I honestly didn't see us losing this game. Good season, keep your heads up.
  10. If you wanna talk about a streak how bout the number of consecutive seasons whitehouse DIDNT make playoffs in football:whome:. bball may not go far once they get their but hey its better than not gettin there at all. Housers, obviously you are from Whitehouse and you speak for the basketball team and thats great but why put down the football team? There always seems to be competition between football and basketball, why cant everyone just support both? There are football players who play basketball, so why not support everyone? Yes, Whitehouse football hasnt been that great in the past but it is up and coming now. So don't try to down play their success this year. I played both football and basketball at Whitehouse and loved them both although I never did know why some people didn't support basketball, but did football and vice versa. I was there for every football playoff game screaming at the top of my lungs and I will be there tonight at the basketball game doing the same. Good Luck to Whitehouse tonight I'm expecting a win.
  11. You are right both of those teams are tough but look what happened to Gilmer this year in football. Im not trying to get under anyones skin but that just goes to show you that once you get into playoffs, on any given night a team can be beat. Another example would be Florida beating OSU. And just the other day Villanova beat Florida who was number one at the time so anything can happen.
  12. At team that is smart, makes good passes and can handle the ball will beat a press anyday. All of those Whitehouse can do.
  13. "UIL has a rule that student sections cannot be behind the opposing teams' bench." I completely understand why they have the rule and all of that good stuff, but I still think that this is a bad rule. And here is why I think that: 1. What do you define a student as? (K-12, 9-12, 7-12 you get the point). If it is just defined as a HIGH SCHOOL student the that may help in understanding a little more. However, junior high kids can be just as bad. Or you might get a few Little Dribbler basketball teams that might not say bad stuff but just bug the players, the whole game by asking questions, or whatever the case may be. So are you going to banned those kids from sitting there to? 2.What do you call a student section? Do you call it 5, 10, 15, 20 students; or just where the majority of the students are sitting? And if it is where the majority of the students are sitting say 60 kids, can the other 45 sit behind the opposing teams bench? What if there is 5 students that are there that are sitting with their parents would that be a student section? 3. I have heard and seen just as many parents doing unsportsman like stuff. So are they going to make a rule saying the parents can't sit behing the opposing teams bench to? 4. What if it was a big game and a bunch of students come and the gym is filled when they get there, and the only room is a few spots behind the opposing teams bench are they suppose to stand all game? Or are you going to punish the other fans and tell them to move, although they got there early so they could get a good seat, but now they have to end up sitting behind the bench because of the rule. 5. If they define a student as (9-12) and they pay $3 for a student ticket, and an 8th grader comes to the game and pays $3 for a student ticket shouldn't the student that was in (9-12) be able to sit in the same spot that the 8th grader is able to? They did pay the exact same amount of money to get into the game. 6. Do you really think that not allowing students to sit behind an opposing teams bench is going to keep students from saying things? If a student wants another player on the team to hear something that he is saying that player is going to hear it, whether he is across the court, or 10 ft from the opposing teams bench. 7. This might be a little bit extreme, but what if they were to say that white people couldnt sit behind the opposing teams bench, that would be discrimination right? Because discrimination is defined as treatment or consideration of, or making a distinction in favor of or against, a person or thing based on the group, class, or category to which that person or thing belongs rather than on individual merit. So wouldn't that be illegal? I don't know why this struck a nerve with me, but for what ever reason it did. I know many will disagree with me but this is just how I see it, I don't think the UIL should be able to do it, but I also think they are taking some of the fun out of the game.
  14. Based on the games I have seen I would say they aren't overrated. I think they are deserving of there ranking, they have only lost twice to REL who was ranked 9th at the time I believe, and then to Lindale. The only reason why someone would think that or say that is because they might think they haven't played anyone good because the district is weak. And in all honesty it probably is, but that isn't there fault. I would have to agree with Ryno that they are ranked probably right where they should be, but who knows what can happen in playoffs they might get hot at the right time and knock off some of the teams ranked higher. Good Luck to Whitehouse as the finish out district and head into playoffs.
