Yeah, I’m sure a new school opening is exactly why a student, playing for a school whose facilities aren’t that old, is transferring to Gilmer. Football has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Heard the sophomore WR from Spring Hill that was newcomer of the year in district and all state, transferred to Gilmer. Hard to keep your players when Gilmer recruits with that winning tradition right up the road.

Looking forward to the game Friday night. Watched Sabine play Mount Vernon Saturday. The defense was fun to watch. Hard hits all over the field. Hope Sabine can pull out the W and get to the next round.

Cry about it. People are so soft these days.

3 years ago started 10-0 and lost in the first round. 2 years ago started 10-0 and lost in the 3rd round to Centerville and finished 12-1 Last year, they lost their starting QB in a district game and never truly recovered, and lost in the first round. The group they had last year is much more seasoned. I’m not sure about a deep run, as their best opponent has been Cooper, who many predicted Rivercrest would lose to, but RC won 49-20. Besides Cooper beating Farmersville, they haven’t really shown much power, as they’ve lost to Rains by 14. Therefore, I say if Rivercrest can stay healthy by the end of the season, they could make a run into the playoffs. Connot and his staff have done an amazing job at Rivercrest.

3-7, 4-6 at best this season for GW. Probably end the season 4-7.

GW is good every 4-5 years. Expecting them to be down again this season with Sprang Hill absolutely dominating them.
