  1. Agreed but he is a veteran player who was not making his first post season appearance. You just can't pay a guy the kind of money LA did and him not be your go to guy in the playoffs. I guess we will see next fall if it was the right move or not.
  2. I don't need 7 months to remember. I still cringe at his horrible postseason just a couple of months ago: 0 - 3 5.79 ERA 28 IP 29 Hits 18 ER 6 HR 19 BB I don't want to remember, I WANT TO FORGET!!!!!
  3. Look at the stats. In 2011 Pujols batting average, OBP, slugging, BB, and RBI's were the lowest of his career. OF HIS CAREER!!!! Yea he missed a few games but only had 50 less plate appearances than last year. We all know that during a players free agent year, their stats go up, not down. This is a sign of things to come. Good move Angels!! Go Rangers!!
  4. No matter what anyone says it is always about the money. The Angels way overpaid for this guy. He may help for a couple of years but he will be a big drag in a few years.
  5. No big loss. Hopefully the Rangers have moved to a level where their focus now is not only making the playoffs every year but having a chance to get to the WS. With that said, we saw this year how CJ handled things in the playoffs. You can't be a big game pitcher in the regular season and then not perform in the post season. Not sure if the Rangers will get back to the WS next year but if they don't, it wont be because CJ left. Go Rangers!!!
  6. I think this is a great move if Nathan can stay healthy. I posted on here late in the season that the bullpen made me nervous and sure enough the bullpen cost the Rangers a World Series title. The only problem is that this is just one move, you still have Adams, choke-a-hara, and others that failed in the playoffs. This doesn't solve the bullpen issues.
  7. I think I had the same concern last year and it worked out OK but I am concerned about going into the post season, if we make it, with Feliz as the closer. He seems to really be struggling. Am I the only one worried about that? It just seems he never has an easy save anymore.
  8. What do people think of the Whitehouse team this year and there chances for making the playoffs. I haven't seen any of the scrimmages but it seems like they don't have a lot of size.
  9. I never said he didn't deserve it, just stating my 2 cents worth that he is a jerk and "I" wish he wasn't going in. And by the way, the incident with the cameraman wasn't the only issue he had over the years. If you look at all of the other players inducted, he will definitly win the a-hole award for the group.
  10. What was the date when Kenny Rogers attacked the camera guy at Ranger Stadium? Sure wasn't his perfect day. What a JERK!! I know he was a pretty good pitcher but it irks me that the Rangers are inducting him into the Rangers HOF. Should be Hall of Shame!!
  11. So far looks like same old Chris Davis. 0 for 6 last nite while the team was scoring 20 runs. Not good.
  12. I know this is beating a dead horse but I think Rhadigan is getting worse. It seemed he really struggled the first few weeks of the season then slightly improved but the last couple of weeks he is horrible. Yesterday he lost track of the count and yelled "Strike Three Strike Two". I do enjoy more input from TAG but something has got to give. I can't believe the Rangers will let this go on forever.
  13. Is it just me or is the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball announcer team horrible? First of all why does it seem that you have to have 3 announcers. This only leads to too much yapping. Unfortunately it is becoming the trend. Also, Bobby Valentine is as bad as it gets. He even makes John Rhadigan sound good. I know he knows baseball but please. Last nite during the Ranger game, he just kept on talking about stuff that nobody cares about. I like Dan Schulman but Orel and Bobby or terrible together. They both seem to want to make themselves sound as smart as possible. I thought Jon Miller and Joe Morgan were much better. JMO. Go Rangers!!
  14. Uncle Sam seems to have a very short memory!! Go Rangers
