I was at SFA three years ago when Santiago was there. He did a decent job and reached a No. 5 national ranking but the school decided to seek other leadership at the end of the season. It was sad to see him go. SFA just hasn't been the same sense. In defense of SFA, the quick coaching changes since 2005 haven't helped the program at all. I think we need to give them another year to get it together before we bash them. They have incredible talent, I just think the young coaching staff needs a little more experience under their belt. It is hard to go through 2 new coaches in 2 years!

What a way to get out of two-a-days! LOL! Don't get me wrong. This is a major problem at any university, colllege, or school and at all levels, not just at the big universities. This problem is not going to go away until parents wake up and raise their children right. I work with college athletes everyday and it amazes me the way they act, treat others, and have little self-respect. Most of these kids have never had to face consequences for anything they have ever done because they haven't had discipline in their life. I am afraid this is a never-ending problem!

If you are passing through Athens you should try Dos Amigos (where Cactuc Cafe used to be). It just opened a month or so ago. The people are really friendly and the food is great. It sure beats The Jalopeno Tree in Athens...awful service!

Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place? Where's Cedar Hill in all of this state tournament talk? Did they not make it?

I am going out on a limb here and saying they will go 13-3. I know it is a stretch, but it is about time for another run for the title.

Does anyone know any information about the 7-on-7 league in Tyler this summer? I know it is at the soccer fields on the Spur, but do not know the times? Please help me out.

Mabank has to have one of the worst gyms in East Texas. It is a good thing that they are building a new gym. And I agree with FastPitch on the TVCC gym.
