I was thinking of this when I posted… We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Hospital emergency departments are forbidden by law to turn away someone in need of emergency care. Because something is required by law doesn't mean it's a right. The right to life is the right to act freely for one's self-preservation. It is not a right to be immune from death by natural causes, even an untimely death. My amended answer is no, neither are rights. Both are privileges.
  2. If by health care you mean health insurance... No. However, if by health care you mean emergency medical care... Yes.

  4. I've never had a reaction to the flu shot. Even though statistics indicate that the regular flu is much more of a threat than the swine flu, I suppose I'd consider taking the H1N1 vaccine if my department made it available.

  8. I'm extremely proud of my service in the Navy. Often people believe that military service is the only way to serve the country. It isn't. We need God-fearing, honorable men to stand and be responsible citizens in both the home and the community.

  10. Nice... another government mandate on businesses. Not a conservative ideal at all. The Framers were all about freedom. Had they "actually perceived everyone, who could, would vote", we would be able to find it written in the Constitution. They understood wholly that freedom includes not voting.
  11. Take the class again then. The Framers would have never suggested punishment for those exercising their right not to vote.

  13. Wrong. I do have a good idea of what they did, as I was in the Navy. Clearly, you have absolutely NO concept of how the Navy operates. A statement by U.S. Northern Command confirmed the American military's tracking of the Russian submarines. "We have been monitoring them during transit and recognize the right of all nations to exercise freedom of navigation in international waters according to international law," said the statement. LINK I bet right... obviously. BTW, "heightened alert" gets squat.
  14. You have NO idea what the Navy did to 'relocate' the subs, as it should be. For some reason, you assume the Navy stood idle. I'm betting sonobouys were dropped all over them. BTW... Heightened alert would do nothing to move the subs.
  15. I agree. Plank 4 is a very disgusting view of the men and women that dedicated their lives to serving the country. Any thought of conscripting military retirees is patently un-American. I would never vote for someone that endorses plank 4. Or 2, 3, 6, 7, 9, 14, 20, 21, 22, 24. No dictator for me.
