  1. brownsboro has a record of 16-5 on the season.
  2. Will be as interesting as football. Chapel Hill will win the title. The rest of the district is up in the air. Brownsboro will be in every game this season and should make the playoffs. Coach Hutchins is doing a great job with the program and they have several talented returning players. Last season the Bears played CHILL close every game. Bullard returns many good players and Van is always in the mix. Canton-Athens, I would not expect much from. A key injury here and there will make a big difference once the district starts. Also, how far will the football teams in the playoffs go? If they go deep it will effect the basketball teams some. As a team that plays together all season will be better than a team that only plays together for a few games.
  3. Does anyone know how the final Junior Varsity 14-aaa standing look? Brownsboro finished 3-1-1. Did Van win last night and become District Champs? Brownsboro Van Chapel Hill Bullard Athens Canton
  4. Brownsboro has to stop the run or else CH will win the game. BBoro could not stop the run twice this season and they dropped both games. CH ran for 400yds last week, they will be hard to stop. BB must not turn the ball over or CH will run the ball and thus run a lot of time off the clock. BB has a lot of young talent, but no real running game. CH-35 BB-21
  5. C.Hill is the fav to win District but they have not done well in District the last few years. With that being said they are still my number 1 pick. From there its all open. If Brownsboro plays like they did against J-Ville then they can mix it up and possibly claim second. Athens & Bullard may spoil a few games but do not look for them in the playoffs unless a team completly folds or finds the injury bug. Canton is good, but Bboro will defeat them this season as Settle has not defeated Canton yet as head coach and will be more determind this season to claim the W. Van...o Van. Kinda like Chapel Hill, a team with so much hope, but they seem to always find a way to lose. So.... I belive the District is open, far more than anyone thought coming into the season. The team with the best defense will win it. Hands down. My picks....... C.Hill, BBoro, Van, .... Canton only if Calhoun is stopped as RB-QB and that could be possible once the hits get harder in district play
  6. Simply put Brownsboro HAS to stop Calhoun. Sure last season he rushed for over 100yds n the loss, but Brownsboro's only loss this season came to a running quarterback in Westwood. If Calhoun can pass at all then it will keep the game close. Westwood mixed in enough passing to defeat the Bears on their homecoming. Although the score was in the Bears favor against Sabine and Rains, both teams had a shot of winning the game if they would have had as much depth as the Bears. It will be a great game. Calhoun will have some big plays. Brownsboro will be ready. Last season's game was some what low scoring, this years will not be. If Brownsboro brings their "A" game I say 45-38 Brownsboro. If the Bears do not play their best they will drop to 4-2,0-1. I sum it all up, the Bears have to play like they did against Jacksonville to defeat Van. The Westwood loss was scary and a few big defensive plays from Tristian Warren have kept the Bears in a few more of the games this season. Mount Vernon was a shootout. District 14-3A play is a toss up. Chapel Hill is still the fav. but dont overlook anyone. Each team as their achilles heel.
  7. The mass rumors came from the Brownsboro area so it was prob just a lot of wishfull thinking. CH as prob the most talent in the district, they will be fun to watch if all goes right. Calhoun from Van will make or break the team this season. If he does well so does the Vandels, if he struggles or gets hurt Van WILL NOT make the playoffs. BBoro will rely on its "D" as offensive points may be hard to come by
  8. Van should be the fav once again for the title. Although they found a way to bust predictions last season. C.Hill has a lot of athletes and is a fav, but there are rumors of C.Mass moving and that may hurt the Dogs chances. B'Boro will be rebuilding but has a solid defense and C.Warren looks to be the feature back after sharing time last season. Canton always seems to be good, but they are losing a lot of players. Right now I would say Van, CH, and either BBoro or Athens. You can never count a former 4A team out and they should return a nice amount of kids. Dont forget about Bullard they improved last season... so who knows. It will be an interesting race. ---NO One will go undefeated--
  9. At this point the Rangers need to give Koronka a chance. He did well last season and looked fine in his only outing this year. He will be more consistant than Padillia and give up less runs that Loe. He still is a better option than Wright once he is healthy
  10. Gotcha.......... So how do i delete this post?
  11. Ha, Ha, very funny everyone. I care about Brownsboro sports and I was just wondering what anyone else has heard. I belive BB has a good coaching staff and do not want to see anyone leave.
  12. Edwards was a great pick for Defensive Player of the year. She dominated the OF for the Bearettes and was crazy good on the bases.
  13. Does anyone know the honorable mention kids? :coolball:
  14. Has anyone been listening to the rumors of various Brownsboro coaches leaving. Some have said Fleming is gone after just one year..... is this true???? Post anything you know here
  15. With "Hutch" the Bears basketball program is on an upswing. Look for the Bears to be a playoff team soon, if not this season that for sure next year!
