Bowser is a great high school basketball player and will no doubt move to the Small Forward or be a big wing depending on the system if he decides to play college basketball. I have seen him play a few times, even though he can bully every player in East Texas, he is not a 'Power 6' conference basketball player. No disrespect, just with his size and pure basketball skill, he would be a more competitive player at an Oral Roberts type school. I hope he gets a chance at a school like Oklahoma State to play football and basketball to see what he can do, but not sure that will be the case. Best of luck in his decision, only he knows what is best for him!

Thanks for uploading all of these Tournament schedules! I will spend most of my time at the TJC Wagstaff tournament, but plan to head over to Tenaha to see Cayuga play, and I might swing by Quitman's tournament for a game or two.

You have to remember this year there will be a District Tournament style at the end of the Regular Season (Hosted at UT Tyler). District Games will seed the teams, with top teams getting 1st Rd byes. The final results of the Tournament will put the teams in their playoffs positions 1-5. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. But I definitely see Dallas Christian, TC Cedar Hill, and Parrish Episcopal going 1-3 in that order. Grace will finish 4th and All Saints 5th. I have seen Gorman play 4 times this year and believe Paul Drake was a great coaching hire. They still lack in depth and consistent scoring by multiple players; Ben Ashworth has to carry the team too much for them to do well in district and make a playoff spot.

If I remember correctly Leveretts Chapel has had basketball for quite a few years. I remember them playing Tyler Grace Community 4 years ago, but they were not very competitive.

On Saturday at 11:30am All Saints Boys will play Troup instead of Edgewood.

APEC is programmed for your athlete to improve in speed, agility, strength, and overall mobility. But the improvements do not come easy, you must work hard to see improvements. The lack of large increases of strength is a different subject, APEC gives opportunity to do additional workouts on Friday afternoons that are meant for strength work. If your athlete is not getting the mass they want with this program, check your daily nutritional diet, this has large effects on muscle mass gains. I highly recommend APEC for athletes in the area that want to work hard to become the best overall athlete they can be.

I have no dog in the fight, just a basketball fan. But Jordan VanDeKop is one of the better posts if not best post in the area. He was All-East Texas MVP has a Junior. Lindale is not very deep and at times have to rely on VanDeKop too much on the offensive end. Spring Hill played well against White Oak and good win over Clarksvile, but they are lacking in size. They have a solid Point Guard in Robbins, he must play well both scoring and creating for his teammates. Prediction: Lindale - 64 Spring Hill - 60

That is a big time win, Keep on going Tigers 10-0. They play Bullard today in the Semi-Finals.

I am a Troup supporter and believe this the best team they have had in a long time. They have no real weak spots on the team, especially as a 2A. But to be honest, Grace was playing without 6-7 varsity players, due to their football run in the playoffs. With all those players back this might have been a Loss for Troup. But a win is a win, so I'll take it!
