  1. Who said you were going to hurt your career there. That is your opinion and you are obviously an ex disgruntled employee just like dictator, goodoleagle, and chillipepper. It doesnt hurt my feelings either way that you believe its a no win situation. I dont have a dog in the fight either way but I hate to see ex coaches run down kids and a school. You are runnin the kids down by saying its a no win situation for coaches. That means you are giving them no hope that they will ever win. Schools will go through stretches of winning and losing. Mineola will not always lose. If you have issues with the program then you should do what the AD told the rest of them to do. Go up there and talk face to face with them and maybe that will help you resolve your issues.
  2. gladerunner07 when did the baseball team show no class. I must have missed that because they always carried thereself well when I saw them.Gladewaters baseball team is the one that have seen act ridiculous at times. If anything I saw Gladewaters kids and coach act a fool in Mineola. Coach was in the umpires face and a player got ejected. The year before I heard a Gladewater outfielder shot the bird from Right Field all the way back into the dugout when he was ejected during the middle of the game. So I would get all the facts straight gladerunner07 before you say what school acted without class.
  3. Broker like I said go put your resume in at the adminstration office and maybe they will hire you since you are the expert on everything. Who wouldnt want a walking genius like yourself as coach.
  4. Broker you should probably go down and put your resume in because sounds like you have all the answers for every problem.
  5. I totally agree the Stanford kid is a great kid. I have heard nothing but good things about him. I just dont think he is as good as player as Ledkins is. Im sure we can agree to disagree.
  6. foreverfan that was the good ole days when kids were doing those things. In this day and age those kids are few and far between. Most kids these days would rather stay at the house and play playstation all day and go out at night time and get in trouble. Thats just the reality of things. The kids that show up and do the extra work are the ones that care. Whether it is to just impress the coach or not. At least they care enough to do that. thats more then alot of kids.
  7. Who said anything about 3?? No I see the part you got confused with. I was referring to Adams in the part that says "another kid on the team was one of the top 4 too." Definatley not 3 on one team. Adams and Martin are both two of the best though.
  8. Ledkins hit 500 and on a Regional Semifinalist team and was probably the toughest out on the team. Also he played CENTERFIELD where he tracked down everything in sight. Well you really cant say Martin is not the starting SS because Adams would start the big district games on the mound and Martin would play SS. He hardly played third except early in the year during tournament play is when I saw him play there. So your saying because Martin isnt the best SS on his team then he shouldnt get all state. Even though he is definatley one of the top 4 SS in the state. It just so happens another kid on the team was one of the top 4 too. He is still better the Van kid without a doubt. Harrison is good but he is just not at the level Ray is at yet. By the time his SR. year gets here.Yea probably but not now!
  9. He made the right choice going the pro route first. He can always use the money that he got paid and go back to College and get a degree.
  10. Harrison was the SS I know. Yes you are correct Adams was a great SS too but he was chosen as a pitcher and the only SS I personally saw this year better then Martin was Middlebrooks. The next best one was the kid from Athens. I saw Harrison play at least 10 times probably and he was no where near the quality of any of these kids. He will be when he is there age but he wasnt right now. Stanford played LF. Good player and ALL District. Yes. All State. No. So inthegap you mean to tell me that Van deserves to get two kids named to all state and Mineola only one.? When Mineola absolutely crushed Van in the Area round. Where it was obvious to anyone viewing the game that Van didnt have near the players or the team as Mineola did this year.
  11. There is no way he will get money in the 5th round. Around 200 thousand is more accurate. You have to be selected in the first round to get that type of money.
  12. Come on now MVP. Should be on the first team I agree but not MVP
  13. Did you see a guy named Middlebrooks or Martin? The answer is yes and no. I saw Middlebrooks but he was on the hill. I did see Martin play. I am in no way trying to take away from what Ray has accomplished. He is a tremendous talent. I would love to have him, but Starkes is a better SS. Middlebrooks was first team so I don't see where you are going with that argument. Well I was wondering if Starkes was the best you had seen this year then I was wondering if you had seen Middlebrooks and Martin play Short Stop. But you said you havent seen Will play it and we just disagree on who is a better SS out of Starkes and Martin. Thats all I was wondering.
  14. Did you see a guy named Middlebrooks or Martin?
  15. Its not accurate at all. Also Mineola had already sewed up the district title before they played Spring Hill the second time. The first time they played them it was a 10 run rule something Athens didnt do agaisnt them. Also the second time they played them Mineola pitched a pitcher that didnt pitch for them at all during the playoffs so dont think you can look at that game as an indicator on who deserved all state selections. I just find it very hard to believe 15 3a gets one person on the all state team and 14 3a gets 5. Not realistic at all.
