Yes it is. I saw them last year and they are loud!!! It is great to see the kids and community getting into the game. They lost in the State Semi's last year and only lost 2 starters, so they should make another long run in the playoffs.

Great series and great job by the Buna Cougars. Looking forward to Round Rock and hopefully a chance to win a state title. To all the teams in Region III, Buna fells proud to represent a great region and hopefully can bring a state title home.

Both teams made a few errors. Buna had 4 and Hemphill had 3. buna in the sixth had 6 base hits and #7 came in relief abd I think Ford is #4. Buna has nothing but respect for Hemphill and are getting for a battle on Saturday. Twenty20 your right about winning 2 games and I hope the Buna kids and coaching staff are thinking the same thing. Best of luck to both teams and it's a shame that only one of these teams can go to Round Rock.

Great game. Hemphill can sure swing it!!!! Buna trailed by 7 in the bottom of the sixth and scored 8. Hillin goes the complete game. saturday should be just as fun to watch.

I feel Buna will win this extremely tough series. Buna pitching gets a slight edge and Buna's defense is also a slight edge. Hemphill gets the edge on hitting but as they say pitching and defense win championships. Best of luck to both and the winner should represent the region well in Round Rock.

The umpires were from Tyler, they were not from Beaumont. The Beaumont chapter is the chapter that Buna uses but both coaches agreed to not use their own chapters and let UIL send a NEUTRAL chapter. Sorry if you feel the umpires cheated but they WERE from a NEUTRAL chapter.

Well I'm going to get a lottery ticket tonight because we are the luckest team in Texas. We in Buna bow down to the greatness in New Boston and are humbled by the mear presents of the Lions. Well now you have lost to midgets and 10 yr olds playing softball. Way to lessen the great play of your kids you sir are an idiot. Wait is this #14 I'm talking too? Look I understand that you guys are upset about the last few calls and yes I'm sure i would not be happy either if they went the other way. But, I can say I would not get on this web site and bash the other team. If you have a problem with the Umpires then find a umpire web site and bash them. If you get on here and bash another team then yes the other team will respond. Again for the third time New Boston is a good team that HITS THE BASEBALL. You guys made some errors that hurt but don't get on here and say Buna is this and that. Besides both coaches agreed to let the UIL send the umps to the game, so let me guess Buna paid extra to get those calls so they could win. First off the call was the cather was not on the plate, not Buna beat the ball there. The Broadcaster you speak of is from setxsports.com. He is not a Buna broadcaster. That would have been the second out but the call was he was not on the plate and the next batter hit the Sac Fly. So the out at the plate was only the second out so you don't know what the next batter would have done. With ONE out the approach is to hit the ball out of the infield to get the run home. As far as the buckets and cow bells, it must have worked because they do that to rattle pitchers. New Boston must have liked it because today they showed up with noise makers and a whistle. As far as your last post about being Bush League (as you put it!) how about your game 1 starter wearing a batting glove to pitch in! Unless you are a little leaguer you should know that you can't wear a batting glove oitching. Than he acted a fool when he was told to take it off. He yelled something at the Buna 3rd base coach. Talk about bush league. Again New Boston fought hard and best of luck to them next year.

Jock supporter can you sing along with me SORE LOSER SORE LOSER!!!! Buna has a bunch of midgets huh well then you got beat by a bunch of midgets. Yes the calls late went against you but because they did not go your way does not mean they were wrong! I guess Friday night was aided by the umps also, Right! If you are a parent or a player from New Boston don't let the GREAT effort of your kids or yourself be watered down by trying to put Buna down! New Boston played hard, but Buna will be moving on to play Hemphill. If you want come watch the midgets battle it out again we will be playing in Jasper against Hemphill. To the New Boston kids you guys battled all series and should be proud of what you have done this season. Keep your heads up and hope we will represent the region well for you guys.
