Hooks has always had some really good athletes. Just not able to win a lot. Im sure it can be blamed on tough non-district schedule, tough district schedule, tough draw in playoffs, maybe injuries or poor attitudes . Maybe this season will be better for them. Maybe they will improve week to week.

Through personal experience based on observation , coaching , playing and officiating I have concluded that: Coaches want refs to let them play a little unless they have the ball. USUALLY , the team that is not playing very well also feels the game is not being called very well. The article on YAHOO today stated the poor play of NCAA basketball is based on the slow return of restricted movement by constant "hands on" defense. It is pretty clear it is easier to guard a player if you are allowed to restrict his movement. It is also pretty clear you can affect the outcome of a shot by contacting the shooter in many different ways. With all this being said, Cheer on, Yell at the refs, coach, player of your choosing. You paid your way into the game & have that right until an administrator decides you have gone too far.

Why don't Hughes Springs & Daingerfield play each other? I would think it would be a pretty good rivalry.

That was what Maud thought last season . Detroit beat them. That's why they play the games.

There are a lot of coaches that work hard. Call it whatever you want. There are lots of good coaches with losing records & vice versa. I figure Paris hired the guy they want for their own reasons. Good luck .

I heard the 2 point attempt by Hooks to tie the game at Mt. Vernon had a distinct purple flavor, if you get my drift. I would love to see the replay.

Preaching the truth Ohio State. I have never understood why some people try to down play a team's record, schedule etc. Only 2 teams matter on Friday night. That is what is great about competition.
