  1. What Jeter did was the EXACT SAME THING any other big league player would have done. GUARANTEE IT! If you have never strapped on cleats and played the game you should just keep your mouth shut. Jeter is a smart player and made a smart move. Any other big leaguer would have done it...and if Jeter was in the same scenario he would do it a second time! Just like any REAL baseball player would.
  2. The Texas Showcase Baseball Club will be hosting tryouts for their 14U select baseball team. Led by former St. Louis Cardinals 2nd Round draft pick, Josh Wilson, the team will consist of the best talent the state of Texas has to offer. The Showcase sets the bar higher than any other "select baseball team". Not only will your son play with and against the best competition in the country, but you and your family will have a heads up on the recruiting process. With video analysis, a personal website, an unbiased professional evaluation, and a former professional player as your coach, your son will have the edge he needs. All the coaches for the Showcase have gone through the recruiting process and experienced first-hand what your son is about to go through. Why play for a team in Dallas/Austin/Houston when your family will receive first-hand experience of former professional baseball players (at less than half the price) right here in EAST TEXAS? Players must be 14 years of age on April 30, 2011. Tryouts: Saturday, August 7th Faulkner Park - Tyler, Texas 2:00 pm Registration begins at 1:30pm For more information, contact Josh Wilson at (903) 952-5109.

  14. No value, huh? LOL! If I were a betting man I would bet that ball could sell for more than $500,000. Mark McGwire's ball went for about that same amount and the ALL TIME HR RECORD ball HAS to be worth more. C'mon, Cheapy!! You know you would sell it!! Think about that big house on the beach you've probably always dreamed about!! haha!
  15. Of course the Braves got the better end of the trade RIGHT now but here are some reasons why I believe the Rangers will benefit more in the LONG RUN. 1.) Teixiera and Ron Washington don't exactly have a great relationship - to say the least. 2.) Tex is a free agent in 2008 and WON'T resign. However, the Braves have a great chance to resign him due to Tex's ties with Georgia (he played at Georgia Tech). 3.) He is represented by Scott Boras (asking for a HUGE amount of money). 4.) They were able to get him out of the American League. This means his big bat can't hurt them while he's playing for someone else. 5.) According to Baseball America, we took the Braves TOP THREE PROSPECTS. 6.) "Salty" is a predicted as an All-Star for the next DECADE and they say his bat is about as good as anyones. 7.) And the Rangers were able to complete this deal without giving up GAGNE OR C.J. WILSON. They kept these two guys to possibly setup another trade before the trade deadline.
