Byproduct of being a rookie on this board. This is referring to the North Lamar-Kilgore playoff game and the photo from it that ran in the Paris News. I meant to post this in that topic, and somehow screwed up. Sorry about that.

This is Mitch Lucas -- I'm the sports editor of the Kilgore News Herald. Never posted on Smoaky before, may not post again, I don't know. And I don't mean to start anything else. But I saw this post about this photo in the Paris paper and I want to clarify something. The Paris News did not take that picture. WE DID. The Paris News was not at the game. We were asked nicely by Tyler Clifton of TPN to cover the game. He asked if Lester Murray could submit a photo or two, and if I could get him a story. That "from staff reports" story in TPN's paper WAS WRITTEN BY YOURS TRULY, although I didn't get a byline. The photos were by Lester Murray. I know the exact photo you're talking about, and I was right on the play. SHARPE ALREADY HAD THE BALL IN HIS GLOVE AND HAD ALREADY MADE THE TAG. The Faulkner kid was still sliding but was tagged. I'm sorry, but that is correct. Les was right on the play and had the photo. Again, I've never posted on here before, but I wanted to set the record straight. I'm not flaming, or anything, but this topic has gone on far enough.
