  1. This one might get ugly. Jefferson big.
  2. I'm going to go with Lindale. They are much more prepared based on their non-district schedule. The Athens win over Rusk is a good one, but that is about it for me.
  3. As good as the QB play has been at Rusk over the last couple of years, I really like the kid they have now. I think Rusk is going to be able to get the win in this one. Looking at scores and seeing them both play, Rusk puts more of an emphasis on defense and I think it makes a difference. Rusk 34, Center 30
  4. I'm excited about our game tonight (Brook Hill vs Atlanta) and it is on NETSN on YouTube at 7:30pm.
  5. Cam Ryle, QB, JR, Brook Hill - 55-20 W over White Oak (1st Career Start) 12-12 passing, 218 yards, 2 TD; 4 rushes, 2 rushing TD (Played just over 2 quarters) Osagie Aziegbe, K, SR, Brook Hill - 55-20 W over White Oak 7-7 PAT, 2-2 FG (28 and 26 yards); 8 out of 10 kickoffs were touchbacks
  6. Dylan Ouzts, DE, Brook Hill Junior 23-19 Loss vs Grace 10 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 FF Marcelo Martinez, LB, Brook Hill Junior 23-19 Loss vs Grace 15 tackles, 1 TFL
  7. Xavier Kendrick, Brook Hill Junior WR/S Brook Hill defeated Dallas Shelton, 54-0 Offense - 2 rushes, 9 yards; 5 receptions, 104 yards, 1 TD (15 yards) Defense - 6 tackles, 1 TFL, 3 INT, 1 INT return for TD (40 yards), 4 pass deflections Ben Varvas, Brook Hill Senior RB/LB Brook Hill defeated Dallas Shelton, 54-0 Offense - 19 rushes, 168 yards, 4 TD (6, 9, 1, 8 yards)
  8. Not sure why we (Brook Hill) are being talked about on this thread, but as someone who just saw them in person, Atlanta is going to get a playoff spot. Don't have to sit and talk about maybe this or maybe that. That defense is tough to handle and they are so stinking fast.
  9. Even though our guys came up a little short tonight, I thought the game was a great game to be a part of and really made both teams better. Atlanta is on the right track and Brook Hill continued their growth as a team tonight. Neither team deserved to lose that one! Hats off to the Atlanta community. That was an AMAZING atmosphere tonight!
  10. Nick LaRocca, RB, Brook Hill W 56-35 over McKinney Christian 25 carries, 183 yards, 2 TD Von Dawson, CB, Brook Hill W 56-35 over McKinney Christian 3 INT, 4 tackles, 8 pass deflections Noah Langemeier, WR/S, Brook Hill W 56-35 over McKinney Christian 3 receptions, 71 yards, 1 TD reception 1 INT (returned for TD), 7 tackles, 5 pass deflections
  11. It’s a matter of preference for sure. I’ll say this, I’d much rather lose 30-15 than 80-40. Lol.
  12. I personally think it's something we should leave alone. For the really good teams out there I'm sure they do want a shot clock so they can dictate the game a little more. But for some of us at smaller schools that may not always have great basketball players, slowing the game down prevents you from getting run out of the gym. With that said, I'm not a fan of the sit at the top of the key and hold it for two minutes, but I think there are some coaches who use ball control to level the playing field a bit. The biggest issue schools will have is finding someone who understands shot clock rules well enough to run the clock correctly. Can you imagine how many shot clock mistakes will be made in some of these schools? I think it's a logistical nightmare. I'm fully prepared for all of you run and gun people to come at me now, I can take it.
  13. I'd love to watch the games from home, but Hulu doesn't have Fox Sports Southwest anymore...
  14. We got a pretty good one at Brook Hill - Lane Barter. Third year as a starter and has a couple of FCS offers out there.
  15. Well, I saw it on Twitter too earlier yesterday afternoon and to dig a little. Made me nervous when I saw it, but glad it was false info.
  16. This is extremely untrue. They cancelled the 7 on 7 tournament and a summer sand volleyball tournament. But that is all.
  17. We will know a lot about what we will have in the fall based on how we respond to the next month and things opening back up. If we see a big spike, kiss it goodbye...
  18. I think with the new guidelines set forth by the government that by June we will be back CLOSE to normal. At least with the new normal. I think we will be able to have summer workouts in some capacity and start the season on time. I sure hope so!
  19. As the parent of a senior, we have really had to consider all that this effects. Prom, Graduation, Athletic Gala, etc. In addition, we (she) was set to try out for cheer at Mississippi State in May, which has now been postponed/rescheduled. Lots of changes, but we are going to make it!
  20. I truly believe we will be fine by August, but the longer this thing drags out now the more pessimistic I become. While we may be fine in August, imagine how behind everyone is going to be with kids having to do their own workouts, not being able to coach them up on scheme, etc. Could be an interesting fall! Everyone stay safe!
