  1. North Forney loses a ton. Will not be as strong next season.
  2. Forney is even worse than I thought they were. They get handled by Lindale and then Lindale gets mauled by 4A Van. Yup, the Jackrabbits are bad. Oh, and then we get beat by 4A Terrell last night.
  3. Here's a bit of insight on the Jackrabbits game with Richardson Berkner. Forney can pass, but cannot run the ball. Nothing in the backfield. Hand-offs from Rideaux (QB) to the backs looks like a slow motion film. We had 130 yards in penalties, mostly holding. Berkner has some of the smallest players for a 6A school, and not too many guys on the team. We beat them at their house last year 42-10 against a much more physical team. Yes, we won 17-13, but I was not that impressed. As for the game this week with Lindale. We barely beat the Eagles last year 28-21 in a game that I thought Lindale should have won or at least sent it into overtime. Don't know much about Lindale except what I have read in DCTF and that they lost to a good Kaufman team on opening day. I do know that in games past, they have always played us tough. That being said, I will take Forney in a close game. However; I will not be too surprised should the Eagles pull out a win.
  4. Celina had a playoff game in Cedar Hill a few years back played on Thanksgiving night. I think the other team was from Hamilton if I'm not mistaken. Tyical Celina blow out!
  5. Hey! I am a season ticket holder for the Jackrabbits and I am at every home game. Stop with the negative jabber about City Bank Stadium. The stadium is better than OK. I have talked to many folks who come here for playoff games and they love the place. We have ample police getting cars into and out of the parking lot. Traffic lights have been installed at the school which aids in moving the traffic at a faster pace. You guys have a very nice facility, but it is not the Taj Majal. You will get your share of playoff games just as we will. Enjoy the ones you get!!!
  6. Again, I ask, who is the home team in this game. I sure as hell don't want to sit on Celina's side of the field.
  7. Lived in Kilgore during the 80's and my boss had a son who played for the Bears. Followed G'water every Friday night and became a real fan. Still get a sick feeling when I think of that loss to Daingerfield at Rose Stadium. Now living in Forney and am so excited that the Bears are coming here for a play-off game. Will be there on Friday night hoping G'water puts a big hurt on Celina. GO BEARS!!!!!
  8. Hats off to the Eagles from this Forney fan. I haven't seen the stats, but you guys probably won that part of the game. Your QB to #20 will win you some games. That is one heck of a combination. Good luck on the rest of the season. PS: You folks travel well. We were all commenting on how many Eagle fans made the trip. Some area teams don't bring that many to City Bank Stadium and they travel far less miles. Love that community support.
  9. He's in bed with the school board! Funny, so many people I know would like nothing more than to see him pack up and move out of town. He cannot coach at the 5A level.
  10. Unfortunately he is still here. He needs to be coaching at no higher classification than 3A.
  11. Forney defeated 6A Richardson Berkner 42-10 last night in Richardson. Devon Rideaux, making his first start at quarterback, completed 7 of 11 attempts for 152 yards and 2 TDs. He also rushed for 103 yards on 10 carries for 2 added touchdowns. His twin brother Aaron rushed for 87 yards and had 1 TD. Forney's defense held Berkner to 3.3 yds per carry. Forney's offensive line is big and can open some big holes. The defense is quick and should prove to be one of the Jackrabbits strengths this season. The Jackrabbits amassed over 100 yards in penalties but I will attribute that to the first game of the season. This is the most impressed I have been with an opening game by the Rabbits in some time. I do believe we will surprise some folks in district play and will finish higher than has been predicted.
  12. Say what? I don't think JT can play with Aledo!!!
  13. If Royse City seats 9000, I will eat my hat. I have been there a few times, trust me. Wilkerson-Sanders in Rockwall seats way more than RC and it only seats 8500. City Bank in Forney has seating on both sides that extend goal line to goal line. FYI, Forney has hosted many more playoff games than RC and we get rave reviews from the teams and fans using our facility. Gilmer and Celina fans better get to RC very early if they want to grab a seat.
  14. Just got home from this game. WOW!!! A real barn burner. 1100 yards of offense!!
