  1. He didn't inherit that schedule. The old coach would have never shcedule them teams. The old coach schedule teams that we actually had a chance with. Ron Calahan came in and he picked that schedule and he told us last year that by playing these teams it would make us better when district came. All it did was get our players hurt and destroy our confidence. We went into district not having any confidence in ousrelves. We went 2-8 last year. We beat hunington that hasn't won a district game in like 54 games. And we beat Chapell Hill. They already lost to chapell hill and they might lose to hunington. Everyone in Center will be so happy when that man packs his things and leaves. He didn't inherit that schedule. The old coach would have never shcedule them teams. 2. They don't have any backups. They only have 24 players total. I agree with yourteamstinks Ron Calahan is a complete idiot. There is no reason to schedule teams like that. You know people say that Gilmer shouldn't run up the score on Center, but Center has to be able to stop them. A team can't just lay down for the other team. So i do agree with taking it a little lighter but they will still have to stop them. If u can't stop them then it don't matter who is in there if you can't stop them then they will score
  3. I agree with everyone of ya'll. There is no way that centers o-line can hold out gilmers d-line. Thats like putting a cat against a lion. If centers QB can somehow throw the ball up theres a chance that edwards will catch the ball but theres a greater chance than one of gilmers db's will get it. Edwards is one guy and gilmers entire secondary is good so u put one guy against about 4 minimum theres not that good of a chance that he will come down with it. Edwards is good but i don't think he is that good. I just hope all of centers players come out of this one uhhurt. Maybe this pre-district schedule will make center stronger for district. But if its anything like it was last year then all they will have is crushed spirits and a very strong hatred for that coach.
  4. This should be the easiest game of the year for gilmer. I am not saying they can just bypass this week and start looking ahead to next week. If they do that then it might be closer than what Gilmer wants it to be. As long as Gilmer just goes out there and play then they should be pulling out of Center with another W under their belt. I just hope they don't sit there and run up the score real bad. Those players don't deserve that. I don't care what they do to the coach. He is stupid for playing Gilmer anyhow. There is no way a sophmore quarterback can play against these guys. I played them last year and I am 6'1 and their offensive line was atleast 3 inches taller than me. Plus their Offensive line averages 300 lbs. Centers might average 180. They might be calling this one by halftime.
  5. Yeah that coach is probaly the stupidest man I know. They have one of the toughest pre-district schedules in the state. The district schedule aint that weak either. Carthage, Crockett, Rusk, Diboll, Hunington. Hunington aint that strong but the rest are. I played for that man last year and he doesn't know football like he thinks he does. Its one thing to schedule that kinda teams when you have an established offense, but when you are trying to put an offense in and playing them there is no way you can learn something like that. I feel sorry for the players I hope they all make it through the season. But for that coach I wouldn't care what happened to him. The best thing is for him to leave Center and go somewhere else.
  6. After Nac lost to a very tough Lufkin team last week and Center being blowed out by Tatum. I think Nac will pull this one off very easy. Nac has Center beat in size and speed. The game is being played in Center but I think Nac will still pull away with a easy W under their belt
  7. Just in case you didn't know 2 years ago Tatum was a 3A. So in my opionon that is no excuse. You cannot tell me that they lost that many people in a year. And if im not mistaken they won state 2 years ago as a 3A.
  8. I think Tatum will destroy Center. I am from center and i know that they don't have the size or speed to hang with tatum. Tatum has something to prove from last week and it just so happens center is their next opponent. I think it will bad in center and ruin peoples homecoming.
