  1. 1. The players and most coaches were not involved in the '08 game. 2. Why would it matter about the '08 game this year. 3. Both sides played hard and both sides were aggressive. 4. Why would a Big Sandy coach direct his comments at Bowies players and a female administrator? 5. Why would the HC from Big Sandy direct his team to " Bull Rush" on the KOR team with .2 seconds left in the game. 6. Big Sandy administrator gets into an argument with officials AFTER the game is over and then turns his attention to a BOWIE coach and Administrator?
  2. I can't remember if Redwater has beaten PP in the last ten years or not...I don't think that stsement has anything to do with the current year....Whether or not Redwater wins this week or not will not dictate their seasons success...The schemes they have put into place are far more balanced than the previous years....Just like PP offense is hard to contain, much less stop, I believe Redwater's offense is just as hard...A team doesn't rush fpr over 350 yards per game unless they are dong something correct...The game Friday night against Hooks was as good of a high school game as I've watched inthe past couple of years and I'm basing this only on the Redwater games I've been too......It could've went either way in the 2nd half....THought the coaches had an outstanding gameplan for the Hornets...
  3. Hawkgrd..... You forgot to add the most important statment about the Hawk team...... They also OUT RECRUITED Hooks.....but, then you don't want to go there.....
  4. I sure hope you are correct hiflyer..... Would be nothing better than to see the Dragons get 3rd in this district.... Didn't get to see any of the scrimmages but talking to some of the people in the community, the boys seem to be playing harder than in years past and they do have something to fight for this year.... Easier district, new coaches, plus if they ever get behind, at least the coach will know to run the ball (which will run the clock), instead of throwing it all night and stopping the clock..... Good luck Dragons against Sabine
  5. Wondering how the Dragons looked in their scrimmage with James Bowie? Was out of town and couldn't make it back in time for the scrimmage..... I know there's a lot of excitement in the community with the NEW AD and bringing in some quality coaches to lead these young men.... Hopefully, certain people will stick to their own jobs(scheduling yellow dog routes :crybaby: ) and allow the coaches to do a great job this year....Can't wait until Thursday....
  6. I don't think I mentioned any coach by name or individuals....Just stating fact in the NE area where T-high is concerned.......If you read the local paper ,then you would understand everything that I said is a fact, not make believe....I'm not from L-E or T-town for that fact, just was stating that T-high is not the only show in town....But, some would want people to think that T-high is the ONLY show.....That's why I make the comment about L-E's success in the last 10 years....Compare L-E's athletic success rate vs. T-high's....NUFF SAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Who cares what T-high wants or needs..........Everyone including the Texarkana Gazette thinks that T-high is the only successful school in the area......Compare what L_E has been doing in football (2 titles, boys and girls b-ball, v-ball, baseball, softball, etc.......) People seems to think that everytime something comes along that they have to get T-highs opinion and a qoute.....PLEASE give us a break....
  8. 1. Steve White (Current OC) 2. Matt Graves (SFA-former RW grad.) 3. Philip Binkley (Former OC/line coach) 4. Adam Cook (Former OC) 5. Eddie Jackson 6. Eddie May 7. Buddy Griffin Maybe a "wish-list" on my part....Any of those would step in and do a great job....The top 4 are familar with the school district and that could be a plus for any of them....
  9. When you win 19 games in 7 years and the Jr. high program continues to be successful, and the success can't be repeated in the high school programs, then it's time for a change...I saw @ the basketball game Tuesday night where all of the students were supporting him with signs and talking....6 years ago the samething happened when A VERY SUCCESSFUL baseball coach was "reassigned"....I guess he'll go thru the samething as the baseball coach did......Two very ego-driven coach....Guess he's more like the baseball coach than he wants to admit......But with any change it'll be hard for the kids, but they will overcome and have great high school success......As a parent and tax-payer in this district, I applaud the school-board and admin. for making a long needed change.....
  10. Redwater ISD will be looking for a new AD/football coach....He was re-assigned (FIRED) this morning...About time that the folks at Redwater find another coach that can get them on the winning track.... :coolio:
  11. I sure hope it's not......just now X-mas.....let's enjoy basketball season then wory about hum-babe
  12. Yeah, Hooks 42 R'water 32.....Pretty good game until the Dragons offensive play-calling changed hands in the 2nd half......I thought that things were heading in our way until the coaches decided to go to their hurry-up offense.....Figured keeping the ball out of the Pree's kids hands was the best defense we could have had going into the 2nd half and they did a good job....I think we scored to quick in the 4th quarter.....I've already been told after the game that one of Hooks coaches was telling their kids the play before it was being run......Don't know how that can happen unless their coaches picked up some type of a tendency from R'waters play-calling......
  13. Okay, which team gets to stay out of the bottom of the cellar-dwellers this week between Hooks and Redwater??? Both teams are struggling, Hooks with inexperience and The Dragons defense giving up LOTS of points......Probably another D.C. on the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Dekalb Hooks Pewitt L-K Redwater Q.C. H.S. D'field This would be a very good district from Football--B-ball--track--etc......Each school has their own strengths and weaknessess in other sports. I think that this would make a very balanced district for ALL schools involved.....And yes Redwater did make the playoffs in "04 with some amazing kids and a good coaching staff....Does anybody know where their(coordinators) went????
  15. PLease define"jack somebody up"...............If #72 is such a stud, then why is #72 not listed in the area for tackles, etc..........Are you #72 and just blowing your own horn?????? Everyone on here says that R'water is "MUCH" improved but what I've seen is that they are NOT that much improved.......THey will not come within 3 TD's of Pewitt......THeir defense is giving up tons of points and yards.....so I can't see why people say they are much improved.........
