Not so much bad visitors bleachers but the track in Brady goes under the visitors stands, or at least it did when I was there last.  Go to track meet there and watch the 400M relay, one team is smoking everyone else, comes out the other side from underneath the bleachers in last place, bloody knees from gettin' the business under the bleachers :)

Sounds like White Oak also! Lol

You can blame the refs all you want but Frankston should be the two seed and Harleton should be the 3 with Ore city being the 4 seed. I know you will fire back with well harleton beat Frankston head to head but it was a one point game at half. Harleton offense sputtered the rest of the year with only scoring 27 or 28 on UG and then 35 on hawkins and only 13 on ore city.

No need for me to fire back. My comment had little to do with who should've this or that. My comment was to make it known, Harleton had no shot at winning that game Friday night. I'll be the 1st to say, Harleton hasn't played their best in several weeks. When you don't play your best, you end up in stupid tie breaker situations because you didn't take care of business.

Harleton played the worst game of their lives and  lost to Ore City causing a 3 way tie for 2nd.

Frankston beat OC by like 50.

Just to clarify, Harleton played Ore City....and the Refs Friday night. (Go ahead...search and try to find a time I've blamed refs for a loss in my 20 years of being a member, you'll waste your time...I'm not that guy) I'm not saying Harleton played well, or would've won the game if the refs had called a fair game, Ore City is improved and played hard. I am saying, with those refs, Harleton never stood a chance. Harleton took several false start penalties because the d-line was simulating the snap. Our center and other linemen begged for the call, and never got it once. The refs stood around well after the whistle watching the Harleton boys, waiting for an opportunity to throw a personal foul or unsportsmanlike penalty. What should've been a good battle for playoff seeding, was shut down immediately by the refs. What a shame.

Was looking at Harelton's roster other day. Looked to be fairly young with more underclassmen that Jr/Srs.

    Go Wildcats!!!!

Harleton loses 2 seniors, Dylan Armstrong and Braden Hopkins. The rest return. However, Armstrong was the leadoff and game 2 pitcher while Hopkins was the game 3 starter/closer. The Wildcats will have to fill the pitching hole that is being left but they have the arms to do it and the coaches to figure it out. They will be back for another deep run.

I dont know any of the kids names but the Harmony QB and the Harmony coach are winning this game!!  Harmony just held Newton on downs...  Harmony ball.

Boston Seahorn is his name. Kid has more speed than any human needs. My son played baseball against him when they were younger. It was about 2 years of seeing him play before I saw him hit anything less than a double. He's a great athlete.

  6. No excuses...Newton is legit to say the least. #9 is a monster with the ball in his hands and everyone feeds off of him for sure. The Newton D-line and backers were very solid and quick to the ball. Harleton was missing a few starters. They were missing their starting all-state DE/RB, QB1, and WR, and Q3 ended up having to play the entire 2nd half. Again, no excuses, Newton will be a tough out in my opinion. Good luck the rest of the way.

The dude didn't even make an attempt to go for the ball, even if he was cramping. He moved further to get out of the way, than he would've if he just fair caught it.

I can't blame him for getting away from the ball. He should've just laid down on the field before the play started. Most likely they would've blown the whistle and gotten him off of the field.

  8. I can't remember a time I've seen 5 starters given the night off because the coach didn't figure he would need them that night, even in a non-district game. I've seen them pulled after the half, but can't recall ever seeing them sat all night for anything other than discipline or injury. Sounds like a good excuse for a loss though. I saw Harmony get tired on defense after #24 pounded on them and the Harleton defense stand tall. Just what I saw though.

As a non biased observer of the game I’d say that Harleton just didn’t have the athletes to compete. The officiating was horrible. Several face masks that should’ve been against San Augustine were not called and they let the plays go on way too long. SA’s offensive scheme wouldn’t be hard to defend against but Harleton just didn’t have the athletes and wouldn’t make the adjustments to it.

Sounds exactly like what we saw all night also. Film won't lie, but it wouldn't have changed the game too much in my opinion. Losing Wallace was more of a factor than anything. He's the straw that stirs the drink on offense and defense  for Harleton. I saw him Wednesday in a boot and he said he was good and would play Friday night. I was hoping for the best but figured it was mostly his heart talking. I hated to see his career end that way. He's been a work horse for the past few seasons. SA was the better team tonight. Good luck the rest of the way.

  10. Wallace is out for Harleton. He played the first series and limped off. I don't expect him back tonight and that hurts alot. Harleton has been in the redzone twice and no points to show for it. SA is as advertised. Harleton needs to get the 2nd half kickoff and turn it into points, get a stop...some how, and create some more turnovers or it will be over for them.

I don't take anything away from Harleton, they out played us. Carlisle could not stop the counter back to the left all night, linebackers kept flowing out of the hole. It is what it is and Harleton will now have its hands full with the beast from the east.. Good luck to yall moving forward..

It was a great game. Carlisle's QB is a handful. San Augustine hung 84 on Normamgee! Wow! They also gave up a ton of points too though. Going to be a tough game for the Wildcats, but they have nothing to lose, and those teams can break hearts.

I think the big guys up front for Harelton will be at the ones at a disadvantage after chasing Carlisle's QB all over the field for 3 quarters. They could theoretically be worn out by quarter 4.

Not saying it can't happen, but it would be the first time anyone has wore down the Wildcats this season. It has been the other way around all season. Should be a good game that could come down to the kicking game.

  13. Harleton did what they have done to everyone since the LK loss. They stood tall on defense and kept pounding for 4 quarters on offense. Beckville finally broke in the 3rd quarter and it was over. Tenaha had their will broke in the 2nd half. Garrison took us to the wire but we still had plenty left in the tank and pulled out the win behind a great defensive effort for 4 quarters. Joaquin beat us on the outside and once up the middle but seemed like they started grasping for plays in the 4th quarter after the Wildcats defense stiffened in the 3rd. Harleton stayed true to who they are and played a stellar 4th quarter. All season it has seemed like everyone has expected the Wildcats to lay down in the 2nd half, but that's not who they are anymore. You'd better be ready for a 4 quarter fight! Great game...good luck to the Rams in the playoffs.
