  1. May have been a 10 million dollar pitch! I don't mind Bryce's style at all, and I don't think he is being cocky...at least I haven't heard him being cocky in interviews. I think he just plays the game like a kid, and THAT'S HOW IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE PLAYED!!! Marlon Byrd, Adam Rosales and a few more, play the same way. Imagine if half of the big leaguers played it that way.
  2. I personally love the way the kid is playing the game. What about yall, love him or hate him? Thoughts about Hamels beaning him....
  3. Whitehouse beat the Mavs tonight 15-4 I think it was.
  4. The Nac vs Marshall game was supposed to be played Thursday, but was rescheduled for next week. Now its rumored to be tomorrow. Who knows!?!?!?!? JT got their 1st district win since 04 today against the Mavs in walkoff style...on a bases loaded walk. The Mavs had em 6-1 in the bottom of the 7th, but let em off the hook! Mavs pitching hit 7 JT batters in the game, and back to back batters with the bases loaded in the 7th. Not pretty.
  5. How did Marshall vs Hallsville turn out tonight?
  6. I voted that Borbon would get the position. Does that mean I like it...NO! He makes too many boneheaded plays in my opinion. Sometimes he gets that deer in the headlights look in his eyes, and bad things happen. But for whatever reason, Wash loves the guy. They tried him leading off last year but ended up moving him back to the bottom of the order if Im not mistaken, and thats when he started heating up. What does Murphy have to do to get the everyday job? I think its time he is rewarded for his play, and given a shot to own the position. Hes a nice 4th outfielder, but I think he has shown he can get it done everyday.
  7. 1st off, there's no place (professional entertainment wise) that I'd rather be than at the ballpark watching the good guys!!! Hot, cold, dry or wet...I can't get enough. I've sat in a lot of sections but 3rd row right behind the plate with Wakefield pitching, was the greatest. That guy could make a ball dance like nothing I've ever seen. Hank Blalock hit one that sounded like a BLAST coming off of the bat...Pedroia backed up about 5-6 steps into the right field grass and camped under it...lol The bleachers during the 2010 ALCS was the most electric atmosphere I've ever been in though. 5 days 12 hours and 7 mins until...
  8. There is some pretty good talent in those 8 also. Davis, Chavez, Hunter and O'Day...its good to have depth.
  9. My opinion/thoughts...If you really care about someone that suffers from alcoholism, do they really embarrass you, or are they only embarrassing themselves. I doubt that many in the organization are really embarrassed by Josh. Let down or disappointed maybe. Heck, I feel let down and disappointed in him. I'd like to think that even in the business of professional baseball, there are still people with hearts out there. Josh's sobriety should be #1 to anyone associated personally or professionally with him....at least if they have a heart it should.
  10. Theres also a story on the Rangers website, but I found this one a little more telling. Does anyone expect that a deal wont be reached? http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-passan_darvish_rangers_contract_five_six_years_011412
  11. Josh has a problem that he will fight his entire life. (remember what happened in early 2010 when he thought he was far enough removed from his drug and alcohol abuse that he could be out on his own) His father-in-law was very involved in his sobriety. If it weren't for him, there's no telling where Josh would be today. Not weird to me...especially when he's had a chaperone the entire time he's been with the club.
  12. I'm pretty sure Josh's or Michael's father-in-law or father doesn't really "needs" a job.
  13. I'm not exactly sure what the Rangers should do as this is pretty unprecedented, (fine maybe???) but they should do something imho. @WildcatsRule...I've always felt that regardless of our profession, we ARE representatives of our employer. Don't think for a second if you bring shame and/or embarrassment to your employer, he won't reprimand/punish you in some way. Give it a try...go find yourself a public stage and embarrass your employer. Let us know how that works out for ya.
  14. If you are the Rangers brass, what if anything do you do? http://www.yardbarker.com/mlb/articles/msn/yorvit_torrealba_assaults_umpire/8918782
  15. With Feliz headed to the rotation, that crowds things up and it appears that the Rangers are planning on CJ being somewhere else next season. I dont see him getting #1 money from anyone to be honest.
  16. Ive added this link to my bookmarks on both my laptop and phone and sometimes I just sit and watch the seconds tick away...sad, I know.
  17. CJ has talked like he would like to stay in Texas. However, plenty of teams are interested and he's considered the best FA pitcher out there right now and that means a lot of $$$$ are headed his way. Do you think it will be hard to replace CJ if he leaves? Personally, I dont think it will be a devastating loss if we lose him, but I'd rather not have to see him in another uniform...especially another AL uniform.
  18. Here is a link to a countdown I found. http://mycountdown.org/fullpage.php?cp3_Hex=0F0200&cp2_Hex=050375&cp1_Hex=F9F9FF&ham=0&img&hbg=0&hfg=0&sid=0&fwdt=150&lab=1&text1=Pitchers%20and%20Catchers%20Report&text2=ST%202012%20Countdown&group=My%20Countdown&countdown=My%20Countdown&widget_number=3010&event_time=1329652800&timezone=UTC
