  1. Man...sounds like MP has a few of those fans in the stands that have all the answers! HAHAHA!!
  2. Pittsburg has two kids that play in the middle that are among the best in East Texas without a doubt.
  3. Pittsburg's defense is awful fast and they have two of the best linebackers in East Texas. PG isn't going to be able to put up as many points this week as they have been lately. Like I have said all through district, if Burns gets his 20+ touches and the QB doesn't turn it over Pitt will win...Pirates win by 14 or more.
  4. Not sure who to go with this week because both teams seem pretty evenly matched. I'm gonna say whoever has the fewest turnovers wins the game. I think Burns will be able to get going but I'm not sure Pitt can stop LE's high powered attack. This will be a barn burner and the winner will go on to win the district title. Good luck to both teams...play your butts off!
  5. I don't see anybody in this district shutting Burns down. Like I said last week if he gets 20+ touches the Pirates are going to be very hard to hang with. Not to mention their defense isn't bad either!
  6. I know Burns is a SR. but what about the 2 LB'S? Will they both graduate this year as well?
  7. Arp has too much fire power. Tigers win BIG!
  8. Wow I guess that the coaches aren't the only ones in Longview that aren't getting along! lol!!
  9. You are right about one thing Pittsburg's RB is the kind of kid who can dominate a game by himself, and they have a couple of inside LB's that are STUDS...but I wouldn't say that Atlanta will not have problems coming up with stops. If Burns gets 20+ touches watch out... Either way this one will come down to the wire. If Pitt's QB doesn't turn it over...they win.
  10. Where and what time is this one taking place?
  11. Don't forget the freshman cleanup hitter who has five long balls this year and is one of the team leaders in RBI's. This team is going to be good the next few years.
  12. If you are referring to the call that I think you are, that call did NOT effect the outcome of the game. When the call occured if it had been made right, Pitt still would have scored the go ahead run in the 8th inning. If you remember correctly Eustace failed to have a runner reach base in the bottom of the 8th. So if Pittsburg would have driven only one of those runs in the game would have still ended with Pittsburg on top. The call may have effected the score but it did not effect the outcome. Good effort by both teams and it was a great game, just don't blame the loss on the umpires.
  13. I was at the game and the feeling was that Pittsburg was dominating early but Eustace kept trying to get back in it. The problem was that Eustace did not hit the ball all night, but Pittsburg's defense once again was very shaky and the pitchers gave up too many walks. If the Bulldogs don't score on those past balls then I don't think the game would have even been close because Eustace just wasn't hitting the ball. The Eustace pitcher did a good job of weathering the storm early and wound up throwing a pretty good game against what has been a hot hitting Pittsburg team. With Duncan going to the hill Saturday if Pittsburg hits the ball like they can they should take this series easily.
  14. I look for the Pirates to bounce back in a big way tonite. I'm gonna say Pitt by ten.
