  1. Four medals out of the three relays from District 14-AAAA. Atlanta boys with gold in the 4x100 and silver in the 4x200. Liberty-Eylau girls with double gold in the 4x200 and 4x400, just missing the state record in the 4x400 by .2 seconds. Second fastest 4x400 girls time ever in 4A. Also had the second fastest time in the state in the 4x100 when they false started at district.
  2. Uh oh......hide your phone codes if this happens!
  3. God's foreknowledge and causation are the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNBYYszufxs
  4. Yeah.....THAT'S what will limit the applicants!
  5. It's official. And I know all involved will be shocked, but it's NOT Kerry Strong.
  6. Like I said, It is Baby Bell's job to lose!
  7. It's sweet, too. It's hornet blue with a T-top. It has a bumber sticker that says "I Blocked For Heisman Winner Billy Sims"
  8. He is too busy keeping the Fouke Monster at bay!
  9. Not sure what year you are thinking of but no L-E boys team the past decade should have or could have won one of the regional tournaments they were in. Care to refresh everyone's memory as to what year and game that was?
  10. Nope. Sorry. I would love to see them pull it off, but I wouldn't put this Paris team in the top ten of non-metroplex schools in that regional tournament in the last ten years honestly. And a game with either Madison or Triple won't be close.
  11. Avery visitor side is SMALL! If Chapel Hill's girls are playing that will take some of their crowd away, but they travel well. Hooks probably will with it right down the road.
  12. Paris definitely got the easy playoff draw on the road to Commerce. However, looks like they will play Dallas Madison in the regional semi-finals where their season will come to a screeching halt. North Lamar looks to have a nice draw, as well all the way to the regional-semis, where they will probably face Triple A or the runner-up to Madison, whoever wins that area round game.
  13. I went to Longview today to get some BBs for my Red Rider but it seems like all the BBs have left the Longview. I heard I could buy some in Center now, though.
  14. If Hooks is ranked, class 3A is WAY down! Big kid doesn't play very big and struggles against any type of physicality. Spent the entire game frustrated against Martins Mill and they have no size to speak of. If they make the regional tournament, like I said, 3A is WAY down.
  15. Wasn't everyone pretty tired of the wing-T with Barker. Pretty sure the Grovers thought it was outdated and needed to air it out more and get with the times. Funny. It won't be too different from what they've been doing the last few years and their offense has struggled. Having said that, they have a chance to beat Center and Spring Hill so they may get back to the playoffs the next two years.
  16. Center was BAD last year. Beat Groesbeck in the playoffs, who may have been the only playoff team in 3A worse than Center. Oh, they also beat Diboll and Huntington. Will have a few coaching changes, and possibly, if not already, a couple losses in personnel not due to graduation. No chance Center and Atlanta are in the same breath. Gladewater was lucky to get out with wins against Atlanta. Not saying they didn't earn the victories but they won't be head and shoulders above everyone.
  17. Gladewater has a ton back. Best D-Linemen in 3A. Scheme shouldn't change much with the new guy. You never know how things will be different under new leadership even when it's a guy that has been there. Tatum will be athletic as usual but were not overly impressive last year in a smaller division. Wasn't overly impressive against PG although getting a win by a large margin. Definite playoff team. How about Atlanta? They should probably be better. Most skill kids back, especially the main ones. Probably be deeper and more athletic and gave Gladewater all they wanted last year. Could probably say Atlanta gave both games to Gladewater away. Center will struggle. Spring Hill will struggle but compete well. PG is a wildcard with a new head coach but still shouldn't be a threat to the top guys.
  18. And a few others around town! Wasn't he at Pittsburg?
  19. leopardforlife.......finally you and I agree on something. Maybe we can be friends after all. It's a shame a school the size of LE won't have offseason basketball. This is why Collvins was being reassigned because he wasn't "on board" with the new AD's vision for non football kids to not get to work on their sport during their offseason. In fact, they won't even be working on their sport during season until after school. Better hold on tight to that young basketball talent or they will be at T-High or PG where they actually have a chance to get better at the sport they want to play.
  20. The job is not open but Barncastle is not and will not be there!
