  1. Ya its his uncle. Its kinda weird because Fred was coached by Bero when he was at Longview.
  2. yes gilmers a good team and I'm not gonna say their gonna lose a district game but I really think Tatum and spring hill are capable of giving gilmer some fits and keep it somewhat close
  3. It looks like griffin, Everett, and talley will be spliting time.
  4. They teams looking great. Ive heard that their having one of their best 2 a days since Bero's tenure. The team is very experienced and is looking really well. They have about 60 kids on V and JV. I know this is a biased answer but i really think they will contend with Tatum for the number 2 spot and give Gilmer some trouble.
  5. The Spring Hill Panthers are coming off a dissapointing year, but bringing a lot back. They have a veteran offensive line led by Adrian Tarpley and Kyle Akin with help from Logan Wallis. The team has potential star in Dylan Brown at QB and has a very good defense anchored by juniors Nathan Griffin and Alex Voelzke. What do ya'll think their getting some buzz about maybe being a heavy contender are they gonna contend or pretend.
  6. You have to throw Spring Hill in there. They had their worst year in recent history last year. They are bringing 18 starters back and without a doubt will improve.
  7. Neftali Feliz showed up the other day and struck out the side in his first inning and allowed 0 runs. He had 4 Ks and averaged a 98 mph fastball. This guy looks like the real deal. Honestly I would put Frank and CJ as my 7 and 8 guys and let this guy dominate the 9th and give us a what David Price gave the Rays last year.
  8. What team do yall think will have the biggest turnaround from last year?
  9. Brown is fine. He is participating in practice at 100% even playing defensive back. You will not have to worry about him at all. And the Panthers are looking great. I talked to the coaching staff yesterday and they feel that practice is going better than anyone can remember.
  10. Baylor would be a good fit because he can a couple years behind Robert Griffin, a top 10 NCAA QB according to ESPN, and Griffin and Godfrey have many similarities. The only problem would be he would not start in his first of second year unless injury happened.
  11. 1. Gilmer 2/3 Spring Hill/ Tatum 4. Chapel Hill 5. Gladewater 6. Bullard I think everyones pretty sure about Gilmer, but after that I think Tatum and SH are about equal. Both are retuning roughly 18 starters and both will be better. No dought about it that will be the district game of the year Oct. 30 at Tatum.
  12. From a inside source Brandon Carter the guard from Texas Tech and spring hill will be anounced as a 1st team all american
  13. Just thought i would point this out. Jacksonville lost to Spring Hill in preseason. I know its preseason and it means nothing, but the fact that is was close is funny. I got Longview a lot Jacksonville little to zero.
  14. thats not true at all. He had a stinger and the coaches thought it could be more serious so they took him out just in case because the game was pretty much decided. And next time you say outrages comments make sure you have a good source or don't make up stuff
  15. SH O and D line is playing well lately. They played especially well against Chapel Hill and Gilmer even though you couldn't tell. I think that will be the difference. As long as SH dosn't make stupid mistakes and turnovers they will win this game.
