Marshall should've put them away but game management was terrible. I.E. The pick 6 by Mt. Pleasant should not have happened, no reason for Marshall to be throwing at that point, game was decided.... Run the ball!!!!!! Eat the clock and get out of there....."You throw to score, but RUN to win"....

Those international students transferred out of the school district along with another starter prior to the school year . They are playing with Hopkins County raised kids....

If they stay internal it will more than likely be the DC. Not only because of his age and pedigree , but I hear he has experience on the offensive side as well. Futhermore , they say he is active in the community , which is huge....

Question is, why was Marshall throwing so much being up two touchdowns at the half?? Marshall's inability to create a run game and manage the clock is why the season is over for them. There defense was playing well enough to get to the title game. Huntsville had negative yards rushing at halftime....Offense had multiple opportunities to put the game out of reach but squandered. Was only able to gain 9 yards in the 3rd quarter.

Why would Mathis go for two and his defense had been playing lights out?? The offensive play-calling was suspect all night long for Marshall, the defense was special!!

Marshall's defense is playing lights-out football, their offense is way too inconsistent to have so many D-1 recruits....

Furthermore, I don't think J'Ville ever pulled there starting QB, what was Marshall suppose to do?? Be nice, and let them score... This ain't Pop-Warner, this is #txhsfb, #beastTEXAS style.....

Marshall's pre game ritual is no different from what you see from all the big programs on Saturday afternoon(a Michigan player literally tried to dig out States' logo pregame today) , get over it!! How do you explain the J'Ville coach that use to work at Marshall taunting Marshall's players for four quarters??? He should be more disciplined!!

The day that Marshall realizes that #2 is their best runner, this offense will be something to reckon with. I see he must have got some snaps at QB, being that he threw a TD pass....Just saying....

Talent definitely isn't the problem in Marshall. They are one of the more talented teams in state, but to say they are well-coached is a bit over-rated.....

The Marshall staff is struggling to get the ball to their play-makers. Cause you have 3-4 elite receivers doesn't mandate you have to run the spread. The scheme is handicapping their offense.....They definitely have some bruisers that they are not utilizing....

Marshall has some big-time athletes.... Doesn't look like the coaches had them prepared...

I definitely wouldn't bet on that...Looks like the DC is the one who made the difference with that squad. Offense was ok at times but the Marshall defense is what was noteworthy....

M.I.S.D. facilities will be improved within the next 12-18 months.... all that is irrelevant to a real ball-coach though. If the Marshall job does come available, it will have 10 times the interest than the Desoto gig.
