  1. Some people... You take every statement made by any poster and turn it into some egocentric, Kilgore-Rocks statement about how you came to Whitehouse and "shut our mouths". Applebutter had a great point in his arguement about your ungrounded statements, and i applaud him for that. NOW, to the comment i made about Whitehouse being overconfident. We lost to Kilgore last year because we got overconfident in ourselves. We were undefeated all year coming into that game, and it got into our heads that we were unstopable. The Kilgore game showed us that we were not and that we had better come to every game like it was our last. You remind me of certain politicians who answer every question with "terrorism is bad" or "what about 9/11". Just about every subject brought up, or every question asked, you respond with "We went to your house and shut your mouth." I respect Kilgores teams, always have, traditionally great. I do not, however, have much respect for the fan base. Pancakes
  2. I beleive it was Kilgore fans last year that got on here and talked about how terrible the Whitehouse fans were. Everytime a Whitehouse poster said one word about our team being good or winning games or district, Kilgore fans jumped all over saying that we were too cocky...what happened? Pancakes
  3. Look, im not sure how relevent all the bickering about games the occured two years ago is. In fact, looking at this year really doesnt have much bearing on how next year will take shape. For WH, next year looks extremly strong. Brady Attaway is coming back for his senior year. If anyone is battle tested in 4A football coming into next year, it is Attaway. This will be his third year at the helm of the potent WH squad. Asher Williams at WR is a scary thought for DB's with his rough style of play. Quincy Aldrige (who started on varsity as a freshman last year) will make sure that no passes are caught on his side of the field. Chad Lewis really came into his own at RB last year, and Seth Cashion is fantastic at punching it in at the goal line, or pulling it down on a slant. WH is powerful next year, along with Pine Tree, Nac and Henderson. The Kilgore PLAYERS are extremely strong and just about always are. The FANS however, (kilgore4sho) are getting old and annoying with the talk of dominance by the top 3 teams. The truth is, Pine Tree, while the records didnt show it, played a much-improved game last year, shocking everyone. I assume this will continue next year. Henderson gave Whitehouse everything they could handle and i predict the same if not better from them next year. Jax played ok considering the size and age of their team. In conclusion, you CANNOT count ANYONE out in this district. Whitehouse will be very potent and will be ready to play every week, not discounting any team. Getting cocky and talking dominance is a sure-fire way to get you mouth shut by a team that you thought would be a breeze, ask Whitehouse, we learned our lesson about that. Pancakes
  4. This is exactly the reply i was hoping for from 12AAAA!!! I have heard alot of people dismayed about the possible Longview move, but it sounds like 124A is ready for the challenge Pancakes
  5. Jville is a solid team no doubt. I did however notice some attitude problems when they played in Whitehouse. Alot of nasty comments and some aggression for #10. Luckily the disciplined WH squad kept their cool and nothing major occured. It Jax wants to be a state quality team they need to tone down the language and leave the attitudes back home. Discipline seperates good teams from championship teams Pancakes
  6. was that a NO out of agony at the very thought of longview in the district, or a verbal warning to longview that 12AAAA wont back down to anyone?
  7. 12AAAA basketball is set to make noise in the state playoffs this year. Whitehouse is obviously the talk of the town, and they deserve it, but what about Nac and Jax, both solid teams with potential to punch into the second or third rounds. Who can we count out at this point in the season, and what are the predictions coming into the post season? Pancakes
  8. With all the talk of a AAAA shuffle next year, what is SDC's take on all this. Of course, we will know tomorrow, but lets assume Longview moves into 12AAAA and Henderson moves down to AAA (one possible scenario) will that wreck the district and hand Longview a state title? Pancakes
  9. Wow. All this talk about Kendall Wright? A great player im sure, and deserves all the credit you guys are giving him IM SURE, but come on. Anytime a poster from Whitehouse or some other schools gets on here and states superiority or dominance, or best player "hands down". there are tons of reply posts saying WH is stuck up and thinks they are better than they are. Pancakes
  10. If you are beating teams by an average of 35 points...i believe its ok to talk a little smack. AGAIN, once WH proves me wrong, ill stop complementing them and apologize. Pancakes
  11. ok...im going to go out on a limb here, which i dont do much...and say that jvillebasketballfan08 MAY, and i could be wrong here...he MAY be a little biased...idk though, hard to say Pancakes
  12. I know there is already a WH v Jax thread, but there was no poll, so lets keep it going on here with the addition of a poll
  13. This will be the biggest challenge for WH in district. If anyone is going to get close to them this year it will be jax. However, i do see WH pulling it out again. Ill start a new thread with a poll and see what sdc thinks...
  14. haha, i wish this stigma about WH losing in the second round wasnt there. But, i guess theres nothing i can say to dispute it. We havent won a state title since...what? 1978? I just see this team as being the one to break the mold and take us deeeep into playoffs. Pancakes
  15. Tatum has made three straight state chamionship appearences. Think about Gilmer, and how about Alto? Longview was stellar this year, and Whitehouse just keeps getting better. Marshall never has a bad team and Kilgore plays good football. I guess playoffs dont matter to me alot. Dont get me wrong, i love winning and I love this game, but to me its a once dead community rallying together to support a group of kids thatve been together for 18 years. Its the cookouts and tailgate parties 3 hours before the game and all the businesses donating money for stupid little towels. THAT, formercoach, is good football, its good for the kids, and its good for the community. Daddy shelling out thousands of dollars for a Highland Park personal trainer and thousand dollar cleats doesnt mean you have good football. Here in East Texas, we have been trained in good football, and moved on to being great men.
