Has anyone thought that maybe he did this on his own. Everyone retires at one time or another. Regardless what a great career. He will always be thought of as one of the best coaches in Texas girl's basketball.

I can promise you that Sulphur Springs is not looking past anyone. I know they know that Kilgore will be ready.

Texas High and SS have split so neither one owns the tie breaker on each other. They will either play or flip on who's number one seed.

Congrats to Sulphur Springs!! I have had the opportunity to watch Sulphur Springs play the last three year and it has been awesome to watch Coach Owens and staff instill a hard work ethic and team first attitude in our football program. Those involved work hard and definitely earned this State Championship. Great job players, coaches, and fans for making this a year that will always be remembered. I remember reading on here just three years ago where everyone questioned if Sulphur Springs could run this offense because they didn't have a center!! WOW!! How times have changed. LOL Don't knock over the dairy cows at the dairy museum when you celebrate!!!
