If anyone thinks Hawkins will beat Frankston, then NO...Big Sandy is not getting in the playoffs because Frankston killed Big Sandy. It will be Beckville, Frankston, Harleton and Hawkins in playoffs.

Asking too much money is one thing, but wherever you play the game, the place or school that hosts will keep the money from concessions. The only money that the two schools playing will receive is after gym rental fee, officials, and workers are paid. If there is money left over from the gate after this, it will be split between each school. In the playoffs, you have to add UIL's % into that also.

Talked with a head coach in the district...in case of a 3-way tie for 3rd where each team beat each other, you go to point differential with a 17 point max. So, if Arp, Winona, and GS tie for 3rd...GS is 3rd, Winona is 4th, and Arp is 5th.

The way most districts work a 3-way tie is by point differential between the 3 teams tied. They usually cap the max point differential at 14 -17 points. So, when GS won by 27 vs Winona, their cap point differential would be, lets say 17. Winona win over Arp was 16. And so on... Arp - - - (+3 to GS) + (-16 to Winona) = -13 Winona - - - (+16 to Arp) + (-17 to GS) = -1 Grand Saline - - - (+17 to Winona) + (-3 to Arp) = +14 So...if Arp wins and forces a 3-way tie, these would be the point differential with GS 3rd seed and Winona 4th seed.

I believe what people are trying to say is...PT handled the re-assigning of Coach Dowdle bad. They brought in a coach that they were going to hire a year early with all the intentions of letting Coach Dowdle go after this year. Then, for the last 4-6 years, the PT basketball program has started to decline because of what previous AD/HFB coach's have done. They started to go to universal off-season and the basketball players were not in the gym working on skills, except during basketball season. Yes, the kids can go to the gym after school, but that is not the same as getting coached on certain skill sets. That is where the decline started. I do not believe people are bashing Coach Lewis, because he is a good coach. They are bashing the process and the way things have been handled with basketball and other sports

Obviously, you do not know how the hiring process for all head coaches is in schools. It's not the same as moving a freshman football coach to a varsity position coach. This is for a head job. By law, the job has be posted for 10 days. After that, a person's name will be sent to the board for approval.

So, Lindale barely beats Kaufman and that seems bad. Van beat a very good Mineola team seems good. But, Kaufman beats Mineola...

If Lufkin is like some bigger districts like Plyler (Alternative School) in Tyler, then other smaller districts send kids there because the smaller school district doesn't have an alternative school in their district. When they do this, they pay a fee to send the student to that alternative school. So, if other districts are sending kids there, then they are paying Lufkin for those kids.

Could be a HWY 59 district and Hwy 69 district... Lufkin, Nac, Marshall, THigh, Hallsville, PT, MP Jax, WH, Lindale, SS, Greenville, RC

Assuming that Corsicana, Nac, and Lindale all lose to the Big 3 Here is the playoff scenario as I understand it.. Assuming all 3 teams are tied at 3-4 in district, Lindale will get the 4th spot by point differential... Lindale 19 Corsicana 7... Lindale +12 and Corsicana -12 Corsicana 35 Nac 17 ...........Corsicana +17 and Nac -17 (17 points is the biggest point differential per district rules) Nac 25 Lindale 24 ......Nac +1 and Lindale -1 Point differential totals Lindale +11 Corsicana +5 Nac -16

Marshall is 5A, while Paris and Silsbee are both 4A. So, comparing Marshall being ranked in top 25 to those teams isn't a good comparison. I'm not saying Marshall shouldn't be ranked in 5A. But, compare them to schools that are ranked towards the bottom of the 5A top 25.

Please don't tell me that you guys really think that TrojanMan is not from Van. This guy/girl is a Van Vandal...hence the name
