What is the record for most pages of smack-talk on this forum? It's only Monday, and it's gettin' deep. Whoever comes out victorious will most definitely deserve the win. My druthers, well only one maroon-and-white team will be victorious on Friday, and it won't be my Aggies!!

New Waverly was good but not that good. SA just had too many penalties. That's basically what did them in. New Waverly really wasn't any or at least much better. If it had not been for so many penalties this would have been a totally different game. No, I would not consider that a blow out if you won basically off of penalties.

1. Nope didn't vote for Obama, I love children too much. 2. I love children and think we can talk about a game without using loser and things of that sort. 3. The band has a job to do at the game also. I know for a fact that a lot of players really like hearing the band. I can remember going to some games where the band would play Iron Man or Hey Song and you could see the players swaying to the music ( and I'm talking about good teams that went deep into the play-offs. Had to say that before you made some remark about they were probably bad teams.) The band has 2 important jobs--support their team with everything they have, and do the very best job at half time that they can. I don't believe I ever said it is all about the band, I said they play an important part, work very hard, and deserve just as much respect. 4. The San Augustine Band did a wonderful job at the New Waverly game . They worked really hard at trying to keep the guys pumped up. The New Waverly crowd even loved them. They got a lot of really good comments. No, the team didn't do as well as we had hoped, but they are still our team and we support them regardless. The players even messaged the band kids thanking them. They also didn't have to worry about the horn in the endzone.(New Waverly won without a horn--I believe even without a horn even at home . 5. I wonder if the Kirbyville Band Director would appreciate your comments? 6. Kirbyville isn't like it used to be either (and I'm not talking about the better)

I wish you would remember that you are talking about kids and kids should be classified the way you talk about them. O.k. maybe their team is not as strong as another team, that doesn't mean they are not any good. Can't you just make a comment without being degrading? So far you have put down SA the most, you want even call them the correct name, you've called the band names when they didn't even do anything wrong, you've called the band director arrogant whom you do not know and you still cannot tell me who said what at the game which is all untrue anyway because I know for a fact none of it was said, and you've put down Shelbyville except for the quarterback. You can have an opinion without all this. I am a true believer in supporting your team no matter what. You can say who you believe will win using stats or whatever without talking negatively about them.

I wish CC would of won this one. I HATE Kirbyville with a passion because of the #### they did to us.

Do you take English at EF or does everyone there not know how to write? I saw Timpson earlier this year and yes....they are great!!

The fact that Texas A&M does not have a Department of Music and that all of the band members/corps members take no music instruction, I would say the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band is the best hands down. For large schools that have music departments, I would say that Texas Tech has one of the best. The tu band is ok, but should be MUCH better. As far as small schools, you can't beat the Lumberjack Marching Band. They're big, and they march and sound great. Nationwide, the Ohio State Band and Michigan Band are great. Honorable Mention to the SWAC Bands - oh how they entertain!!

I totally agree with you Rhino2K. I'm a big Spurs fan myself. I'm not saying that I don't like the Mavericks. In fact, they happen to be my 2nd favorite basketball team. It all boils down to this: Spurs: 4 Mavericks: 0 GO, SPURS, GO!

Oklahoma Sooners, What the heck are Sooners? I live in Texas and there is some school that is the Unicorns. :w00t: Why isn't Ohio State called the Ohio State Nuts? And which college is it that is called the Gamecocks?

The only reason A&M lost was because the 3rd ref got hurt during the game and the other refs didn't know what the heck they were doing. So shut up Baylor Teddy Bears!
