With a win last night over Central and a Jasper loss to Diboll the Rusk Eagles lock up the 3rd seed in District 18AAA. Rusk will play Hudson Tuesday night in Rusk as the last district game but with a little playoff vibe to it!

In the profession of coaching, theres more to it than just winning. I dont believe the reassignment occured because he wasn't winning (he obviously won ball games) but for other reasons.

One thing i cant wait to see is a match up between Rusk and Bullard when these two freshman (John David Beard- Rusk, and Anding- Bullard) meet up in their future, both great athletes in every sport...Beard had 14 points starting for Rusk in their double overtime loss to Dibol Tuesday night and looks like Lance starting on the right track for Bullard too. Rusk will be tough later in the years with this coaching staff once they get the bugs out of the system and find kids with the heart to just play ball.
