  1. Lets just say smart phones may be smart but the people who use them are not
  2. Your absolutely right Oleman. My wife is always complaining to me that we should be throwing the ball more often. But she doesn't understand high school football. We never have and probably never will have 6'2-6'5 gazelles to throw too. We have no control over height and to some extent speed. But what we have are good kids with big hearts who have been in this system since 4th grade. Kids who are in the weight room in the summer. RW system is perfect for the kids we have as evidence by the playoff run we've had in the last 5-6 years. And the future is only looking brighter for RW. There are two grade levels of boys coming up that in my opinion will put us over the top for a deep playoff run in a couple of years. As for this game, RW defense will have to be even better than last week to have a chance. I watched a little game film of Pboro and they are much better than WO. There QB is very smart and takes only what the defense gives him. If we can't put pressure on their QB then will be in for a long night. Will be rooting for all three teams left in our district. Go lions and Go Raiders
  3. Keep it up Pland. pullin for you in RW
  4. That was the most exciting RW playoff game I have ever seen. RW fans had their hearts ripped out in the final minutes only to score on a miracle play to win. RW defense keeps showing me their grit here lately. WO QB was pressured for most of the game and never really got comfortable in the pocket. Waiting for that consumption of crow to be eaten by some of the WO fans who predicted a blow out.
  5. Redwater vs White Oak Thursday in Pittsburg
  6. Yes.....a great district finish for RW....now its on to the playoffs to face......WhiteOak.....eaaaaaaa..
  7. I'm gonna say RW greatest win was winning that first playoff game 3-4 years ago.
  8. A little of both. We actually scored one more TD in the second half. After that, we were wanting to run out the clock and use backups.
  9. Looking at district standings, the way I'm looking at it is if RW wins we will finish no worse than 3rd and possibly 2nd. If RW loses then I have no idea. Cause that puts 3 teams with 2-3 district records fighting for the last two spots. Gonna be interesting......
  10. Where were all the fans for Dfield? Redwater had probably twice as many in the stands. I never thought I would see this bad of a team from the Tigers. Redwater dominated the entire game. And Redwater did it with class. Coach Graf did not run up the score. Many times Redwater players were helping up from the grass Dfield players and patting them on the head. I hope NB calls off the dogs by halftime or it could get real ugly.
  11. Ok HogHater, I'll post my comments too. The last 6 or so years have been historical for Redwater. Never and I mean never have we seen such praise or respect about the Redwater program from people outside of the district. This praise/respect is well earned. We have been competive in this tough district now ever since coach Stine and now coach Graf have gotten here. Coach Graf, being a Redwater graduate himself has seen the pathetic programs/coaches that has been in Redwater in years past. He has seen the 0-10 years many times. It is so difficult to change the culture of a losing program that has been there for decades. No more do we here the "Redwater is still Redwater" or "Redwater is everyones homecoming game". So BigRed, what may seem like over confidence on our part and people outside the district is just being proud of the football program. This years RW team I don't think is as good as in years past. Are we competitive yes, do we play with heart yes, do we play within ourselves and system very well yes. I think this game comes down to turnovers. If we can hang on to the dang ball we should win this game by controlling the clock and wearing them out in the fourth quarter. If not we will lose and be competing with DF or MV for that third playoff spot. The NB score would have been a lot closer if it weren't for the fumbles. We still would not have won but the NB fans would have been gripping a lot harder if we just had not shot ourselves in the foot. For you Winnsborro fans go get a Philly/cheese sandwich from the visitors side concession before they run out. You wont be disappointed.
  12. Actually Franks, none of what you said is hogwash, in fact i agree 100%. We know it will be difficult to beat you guys twice. We will, in my opinion, have to force turnovers to beat you guys. Your team has had 3-4 years of state championship experience and that goes a long ways at this time of the year. The arrogance some of your bloggers have shown on these threads is annoying to some of us, but thats OK, you all have earned this with 3 three rings to show. Were just happy to finally be able to honestly come on these threads and talk a little trash back to you guys. Who would have ever thought that our football program would ever get to this point. One Redwater resident went to the local paper and was quoted as saying Redwater will never be any good at football. It all started with our school board 3-4 years ago that went through a lot of public scrutiny to (reassign) the then current AD and brought in Coach Stine. His only assignment back then was to turn it around. And boy has he done it. We may not have winning seasons every year but we are no longer considered the doormats of the district. For that, I am proud of coach Stine and his staff. We may not win Friday, but if he** should happen to freeze over again, we will still recognize you guys as champions, (and talk a little smack on these threads..hehe). Good luck to both teams and I pray for no injuries.
  13. Your right Chaz.....lets just pack it in and not even show up. Dfield has already crowned themselves 4peaters, Redwater wont have "OUR refs" to cheat, no home field advantage, no team speed, no history, no nothing......all is futile.....Congrats Dfield on your fourth straight championship
  14. they better put the whole town on suicide watch....get a beatdown by New Boston is to be expected but little ole Redwater....
  15. still looking for Kevnasty.......he seems to have have disappeared....like all the DF trashtalkers that were leaving the stands with 4 minutes left on the clock.....never thought i would see the day when DF fans would start turning on each other with the blame game
