I don't know why anyone would expect Norris from Lindale to be nominated for anything past the district. His coach did him a real disservice last year by either not bothering to be a member of Tasco or nominating him if he was, when an all-region nod could have helped in recruiting. And if he is a member this year, its obvious that the only player he is going to push is the one Shipman player (who is deserving). Any body that has followed Lindale over the last four years knows that the most valuable player has been Norris. Thru two years with Coach Smith, when the Lindale program was on shakey ground, Norris as a freshman, made the Lindale team instantly better and his arrival marked the beginning of the rise of the Lindale program. So while his accomplishments may go unappreciated by some, his real contribution to Lindale was to set it on a firm foundation, upon which they can continue to build. A great young man who was a joy to watch play, he will be missed.

The young man is a junior this year. He played with whitehouse as a freshman then hurt his knee during a tournament in Arlington when he was playing with the dallas texans early summer before his sophomore year, missed the entire year. Got to play again this year. Can't say if he earned a letter or not his freshman year.

REL Boys beat Byran 4-0 Girls beat Bryan 2-0 JT Boys won their first playoff game in a decade? 1-0 against HarkerHeights. They now face Garland Sasche, previously ranked 3rd in the nation, currently 11th. REL Boys take on Richardson after they beat Garland Naaman Forest, a previous national top 20 team, 1-0. Lee has a pretty decent road and decent chance to regional semi finals, before they would have to face Klein or KleinOak, and regional finals would be against Sasche or Belton, now ranked 5th in the nation. Provided they can get past Richardson. side note: Richardson was one of those nobodies that Lindale defeated 2-1. If I'm not mistaken, Lindale may be the only 4A or 5A team thats unbeaten and untied in the entire state. If theres another team, someone would have to enlighten me, cause I haven't found them. Quite an acheivement. Good luck to all these teams, I've enjoyed watching all of you guys thru out the years as you've grown up, and regardless what happens from here on out, you're all winners.

Not being familiar with Pittsburgh(texas), do they have grass or artificial turf. (at the stadium where MP and Longview are going to play tonite) Is it real or memorex? Sun has already come out in Dallas, so hopefully weather won't cancel the game.

you know good and well toohot is from Jacksonville if you spend anytime on here at all, and that when he praises Lindale and bashes other teams in the process, he's trying to give bulletin board matl to the other team in hopes that they (Lindale) lose. Which some others have joined in doing what toohot is doing on another thread. They're not from Lindale either, just someone thinking they're clever. You also tell bluemonster to not say that stuff, but yet you join in to give credence to toohots comments and and bash Lindale in the process. Oh by the way, I'm not from Lindale but I have followed their teams season as well as yours. PT is a great team and I can only hope for certain matchups because they will make for a great game of soccer.

Heard thru the grapevine that Jacksonville and Lindale are going to play a warmup game during the week of the 16th I believe, in preparations for the playoffs.

Well, I know lindale has already played and defeated Mt P. once, don't know the score, doesn't matter, but there is something on which to judge the two teams by.

If things con't to break the second round as first I am going to tell who I think possible quarterfinal matchups could be. In the upper bracket I see the winner of PT/Texas High (district 29 runnerup) to play winner of Corsicana(1st in district 28)/North Dallas(1st in district 26). In the lower bracket Lindale will be playing winner of Mt.Pleasant/Longview matchup. That winner would play the winner of a RedOak/Adamson vs Woodrow Wilson. SO, my prediction is going to be, Pine Tree vs Corsicana and Lindale vs Red Oak leading to a Lindale vs Pinetree in Regional semi's.

Why do you say it won't happen. Assuming everything goes the way it's been breaking and assumming everyone wins, Lindale would play the winner of the Longview/Mt.Plesant game. Assuming the winner of that game and PT keep winning, the two teams would meet in Regional Semi.
