FSSW is now Bally Sports SW. It was bought out about 2 years ago. So basically it's the same thing just a different name. BTW FUBO streaming TV has Bally SW and has a 7 day free trial.

If Bally does drop them for 2024, I wonder who they would partner with to televise their games. I sure hope it's not Apple TV. I subscribe to them so my sons could watch MLS and the quality of most telecasts was pretty bad!! Also you have to pay a monthly premium just to have Apple (which is fairly cheap) but then have to pay another chunk for MLS games!!!

The Rangers are one of the fortunate one's in MLB. Bally has already cut ties with most of the MLB teams that they were carrying on a regional basis. The contract with the Rangers had only 1 more year left on it so Bally decided to honor the last year so we will have Ranger baseball in 2024. Bally said they will not renew the contract with the Rangers after that which makes one believe that they will totally shut down next October.

What I've seen this year is that we are doing a few more "check with Me" plays at the LOS. That means that a certain play is called then when everyone is aligned in the formation the QB checks with the sideline to see if the play will be changed. This causes linemen to have to hold their stance for a longer time. If a team like the Lobos hasn't done this much in the past it can cause alot of problems with snap count and motion penalties. Many teams do this almost every play so its part of their normal routine and they seldom have pre-snap penalties. When you throw that wrinkle in a couple of times each drive I can see the source of the problem.

Alot of people forget about Bobcat stadium in Hallsville. Seats 8,000+, big video scoreboard and plenty of concessions and restrooms. Easy access off of I-20 also. They also recently repaved all of the parking lots.

It is very nice. The only problem is the visitors side is just a little small for some of the big time match ups. Otherwise a very good play-off venue.

The only way that LHS stays 5A is that if a large number of metropolitan schools have jumped ahead of them, which is a big possibility. Schools in the Frisco ISD have to be getting close. The Houston area ISD's are still exploding. Several new high schools have opened since the last realignment. Can't say if any of the Austin metro schools will jump up. The most likely are 2 of the high schools in the Leander ISD which right now are 5A. That school district is growing like crazy so there is a chance they could move up. Also, word is that both Prosper ISD schools are close to moving up. I'm certain there are several others that I haven't heard about. It will definitely be close but there is a chance Longview stays 5A.

Longview and Tyler have almost always been in the same district, so I don't think they have ever met in the playoffs that I can remember.

I'm sorry, but to Lobo fans it's still "Flush that John" week!! Just too much tradition to let it go!!!

They still are playing very sloppy!! Penalties and missed tackles are really hurting them. They just don’t look totally focused!

I had the opportunity of watching Clifford Ward in person. His Freshman year he was brought up for the last game of the year which was the first time Longview/PT played. He responded with something like 135 yards and 2 touchdowns!! His Sophomore year he had over 1,000 yards and had several D1's inquiring but that's where the wheels began to fall off. Off the field issues kept him from finishing his Junior year and he never stepped on the field again. So sad because he had the potential to be one of the greatest ever in Lobo history! Speed, toughness and all the moves made him the complete package!!

Looks Lobo D is figuring things out. Halftime adjustments will be a big part of winning this game!!!

This really is an awesome move!! The only problem with that is their decision affects not only their athletes but also the athletes, band and other support groups at Itasca who have been working hard for several weeks to be ready for the start of the season. I just wish they could have given their opponent a little more notice so they could have tried to find a way to fill that game for their kids!! As usual, those who do things right get punished for the wrongs of others!!

Why did you leave Hallsville out of the second group? UIL is not going to split up Hallsville, Marshall and PT. Too close together!!

Also we must consider the cut-off numbers. With the continued growth of the major urban areas, the line to drop from D-1 to D-2 could go up thus causing the line from 4A D-1 and 5A D-2 to go up. I know there are several new schools opening and several of the 5A D-1's are growing so it really comes down to how many end up in 6A.

Whoever wins the games played on Thursday will definitely be in the drivers seat!! Ton of rain expected starting on Friday evening and lasting through Sunday!! Games 2 and 3 may not have a chance to be played (especially on grass fields).
